Brent Kite was in great demand at the fan day last Tuesday, with many supporters queued up to speak to him and get photos. He was very relaxed, gentle and casual, seemingly content to do his talking on the field. What was apparent is that he engaged with fans and talked genuinely to them, a real nice guy. He told Larry Tate that he has happily settled onto the Northern Beaches in the Collaroy area (I think) and that he had enjoyed the off-season with the club. He also said he couldn't wait for the season to start. Later he sat with his wife contentedly and quietly as some of the younger players chatted together or enjoyed the company of the the cheer leaders. Brent was also observed buying some undersized Manly jerseys in order that his children would be proudly wearing the right colours once the season is underway. It is hoped that Kite has a huge impact on the whole Manly pack as we head into 2005. Go you good thing!
