I think you are thinking of Steve Macqueen. Good player back in the day. Had a bullitt like pass, instrumental in many great escapes. Bit of a hot head though - could be a towering inferno on occasion.

I’m surprised the roosters aren’t trying two stockpile two first grade teams and keep him.

If we have any credibility at all as far as recruitment, we’ll at least put in an offer to Matterson. A good up and coming backrower, who can fill in at centre and five eighth.

Matterson far more on track than some of these other suggestions, in shock Roosters have a Salary Cap for 2019.....WTF....
I wonder if there are any other heavy duty , no nonsense forwards in the Pommy Super League worth looking at ??

They mention that Dean was released to Manly before June 30 and that seems to line up with his last game for Wyong in Rd 15 on the 16th June. Guess we'll see...
