Ricky is pretty ruthless. CNK is a first grader every day of the week. In fact, he'd be our second best backline player if he was with us after Tom.

But he signed with the Warriors early, so is languishing in reserve grade despite the top team fighting it out for a top 8 spot. Ricky looking to the future.

Accountability.
At least they've got a future unlike our rabble

LOL they're clearing the decks.

There is a lot to like about his game isn't there?
Love how he backs up through the middle looking for an offload like Slater.
Gets into first receiver to have a dart.
Chimes into the backline creating the extra man and good pass selection like Stewart.
Very instinctive, was playing Flegg with Knights last year and could be a smokey, looks like a better option than Hodgson at this point but will have to earn a spot in Reggie's.

SEA EAGLES LAND DEPTH HOOKER

Busy utility forward Jayden Yates has quit the Eels to join Manly feeder club Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles.

Yates has been one of the most respected forwards in the NSW Cup in recent seasons and played 20 games for Parramatta last season, alternating between hooker and lock.

The Sea Eagles have a couple of handy hookers in the reliable Lachlan Croker and dynamic rookie Gordon Chan Kum Tong, but if either gets hurt then Yates might get his chance with the big boys in 2024.

The talented hooker developed his game under now retired Eels rake Josh Hodgson last season and is a player on the rise.

Could be very close to the mark , though no doubt Alioia should get the opportunity to press for a i st grade spot while Lodge is still recovering
Dias and Sykes are still pretty handy forwards to consider for the Blacktown line up
Not sure if backline players Ferris and Abbey are still at Blacktown but have good ability as well .
Tuipoltu and Faulalo could easily be swapped for centre and wing roles .

That is a big pickup for Workers.

Never know, he may be useful for us if Injuries and Origin conspire together for a game or two

I see Semisi Kioa like Lambkin is back.. at Blacktown. Was with Lambkin last year so following Lambkin back perhaps. I had high hopes for him in our 20s years ago he obviously hasn't kicked on at the tigpies.

Wakeham is a bit of a surprise one. Even as a Blacktown signing.

Does Manly need more depth at either Halves or Hooker?

I was thinking Blacktown would play some kids when or if things got tight in those spots. But may be they've had a look at the kids before Xmas and think we actually do need a more experienced option in ressies.

Think of last year's list it had Cooper Johns, Latu Fainu, Troy Dargan and Nat Roaches.

Think back to Segy. When ressies sign someone with this kind of NRL experience, in the past it has been with one eye on adding depth at NRL level.

He was at tigers last year, so would have had a run in ressies, been coached by Lambkin last year, live out that way and no other higher grade offer was on the table.

What I do think it suggests is both senior teams will have a hooker on the bench this year. Ie if CKT is in A grade squad Humphreys starts in ressies at hooker.

40 NRL games, that's a lot of 1st grade experience at the highest level. We have so much choice and depth in the halves now.
Isn't this the guy from the Tigers who tried to make a name for himself picking fights with one of the Fainu brothers?. It looked more personal than related to footy.

We really want this kind of guy at the club?

A new club with a new start, let's give him that. He's with the Blacktown boys with plenty to prove no doubt, he could turn out to be a bit of a smoky as the 2024 season progresses.

We would like to welcome Noel Aukafolau who joins Blacktown Workers for the upcoming 2024 season.

Joining us from Sydney Roosters, Noel played 10 games in NSW Cup last year for the Roosters with the majority being in centres, Noel has also previously played for Parramatta Eels.

We would like to welcome Kayne Kalache who joins Blacktown Workers for the upcoming 2024 season.

Joining us from Newtown Jets, Kayne have played 44 games of NSW cup for Canterbury, Mounites and Newtown as well as appearing for Lebanon in the last two Rugby League World Cups.
