It's a good time to promote players from Blacktown - who are on a roll - to the NRL side, who are also on something of a roll. Matterson hasn't looked out of place, and I'd be confident that Clayton Faulalo or Jackson Ferris would do a good job on the wing if either got the nod.

Lawton didn’t miss a beat for Manly feeder side, Blacktown Workers, punching out 80 minutes in the second row and finishing with a try assist, a linebreak, eight tackle busts and 135 running metres, wile also making 24 tackles with three misses.


Manly will be looking for a new winger after Christian Tuipulotu suffered a knee injury on Saturday and Raymond Tuaimalo Vaega could be their man. The 23-year-old scored a try, got two linebreaks, two linebreak assists, six tackle busts and ran for 205 metres in Blacktown’s 36-20 win over the Dragons.
