At least Barrett didn't blame the refs for the loss. He said they didn't help, but you could see and hear he was not happy with our attitude and effort once the ball was kicked off.

As he said, that didn't account for our other 75 bloody minutes.

Think it was warren smith but yeah. Only the ex dragon Gasnier was less than outraged by that first try. And the AFB strip to Api was real. Gasnier tried his best to deflate that saying something stupid like his eyes weren't even looking at the ball.

All and sundry basically called him out as being a goose.

Some **** decisions. Wasn't Manly's day.

Loved how Mick Ennis, stuck to his guns when Gasnier was sprouting his shiit. I enjoyed Ennis'commentary. And what a monumental effort is was to see Noddy Kimmorley back.

I keep hearing that the bunker couldn't rule because it was before the play the ball. This is a load of horse manure. DCE was taken out while the ball was being played also nightingirl was offside, also the **** happened before and after the ball is played.
In hindsight it was a god damn penalty.
I think the cops need to investigate the refs of our great game. They have way to much input without consequence and they have to be playing up somewhere with some of these decisions.
I wonder what dragons where paying for a try within the first 7.59 minutes. It would have been decent coin.....

McGregor got his team to offload big time from minute one against us. It pretty much completely countered our game plan, and they rode right over us. That. and extremely fast play the balls, so we were constantly on the back foot.

I've also noticed our fellas roll on their backs when being tackled, creating slower play the balls. That's just lazy, "after impact" wrestle.

Apart from energy, we were out witted. I hope that's a lesson, because I felt we didn't have a plan "B".

Under Trent Barrett, we are 10 losses now in 14 games at Brookvale. (3 losses from 4 games this season). That has to be unacceptable.

There are avenues for coaches to air their grievances but press conferences are not the place. So a ref shouldn't be hung out to dry based on a 50/50 decision

We've had him three times this season with the results of Loss (R2 against Souths), Win (R4 against Dogs), Loss (R6 against Dragons). Hopefully our next game with him as ref is another win and then we don't get him again. I'm not a fan of him and I don't think that he thinks much of Manly either.

I wonder what the Win Loss status is for him reffing Dogs games?​

Yes, we probably went out there to play our game plan from the last 3 weeks and expect the same result. Dragons definitely brought a more distinctive game plan against us to disrupt our solid defensive line recently and the early offloads did the damage and we didn't recover. Funny thing in the stats we had 17 offloads and the dragons 15 for the match. About 6 of those for them would have been in the first few sets of the match.

Referee decisions often decide a coach's job & they should be as accountable as anyone.

That error against the Dragons was unacceptable & inexcusable & they deserve all the criticism they get.

When a player or coach makes shocking decisions they are free game yet these bozo officials are for some reason above the law.

The game is a joke run by clowns!

I completely agree. gaz is a moron he and that mutt lara Pitt still saying it's a try. imagine if someone did that to cam Smith hahaha there would be an uproar the nrl is a joke and fools like gaz shouldn't be allowed to commentate there formers clubs. he's so bias and I hate listening to him pretending to care about manly.
