Baz Extension

Pretty obvious Barrett is in line for an extension probably with an upgraded package for next year, even an "Ironstine" could predict this outcome.

Stability, improved coaching and team performance and still value for money even on an upgraded mid/high package with incentives, otherwise it is paying overs for a Hasler level type of coach or go on the cheap for an up and comer.(Bulldogs are more in this coaching phase cycle, like Toovey was with Manly---an interim coach cheap with plenty of upside if it works out)

The ball is really in Barrett's court so he can draw it out if he wishes, i'm sure he is looking for stability after moving into the area but at the same time he is in no rush and will have options if he is comfortable in moving----would be a silly long term move though and future players will not like his up and go mindset.

If I was in Barrett's shoes, and thank goodness I'm not, I would want to stick around with the players coming through and the young players developing, with a chance of getting a premiership within 2 years. Then demand the world and check other options.

Buzz mentions today that an NRL coach is delaying a contract extension as he doesn't get on with a senior official. I wonder ?
Interesting, got to be Baz, wonder who that senior staff member would be.
