I guess what I'm trying to say is that the poor character of Penn and his Appendage does not, in any way, prove that Barrett is not a liar or a man of poor character.Barrett's poor coaching record does not make him a liar or a man of poor character ..... in this regard I simply suggest that Penn and Zorba have him covered with past form ...
The only evidence we have is what Barrett has told Rothfield, what his mates have said about him, and the defence of his impressionable young charges.
The three pieces of evidence by which to judge character are:
What a person says about themselves (least reliable)
What others say about them (increasingly split at this stage)
What they do. And here we have someone who:
Has his team in 15th position
Aired dirty laundry in public
Consulted with the GM of a rival team
Broke a contract he extended himself only months earlier
Lied to his team about that resignation
Publicly humiliated a member of his playing group
Presided over a culture that allowed The Gladstone Incident to happen
Makes his children clean a smelly old gym
Played for St George.
I rest my case young Woodsie.
