Just because some of you don't think he is a good footballer or has an ordinary pass etc., the facts of the matter is he is a genuine 9. You cannot call a guy who played his entire junior football and NYC at hooker a "makeshift" or a "utility who plays a bit of 9" when it simply is not true.

Sure, he filled in at 6 and 7 last year out of sheer necessity but the sooner some of you accept that the club view him as a 9 and start dealing in facts, the better. You don't have to like it but it's reality. The RL community know Api as a hooker because that's his primary position and always has been. He played 6 and 7 due to injury only.

Love Api's , commitment, energy, enthusiasm and never lay down attitude. But unless he improves his delivery and timing (which he can) I don't see him as our long term hooker.

The guy does have some ability and the most positive thing of all that I am surprised that some on here cant see is that he is only 24 years of age and he has a lot of improvement in him. So the best is yet to come .

A hooker needs to provide crisp delivery from dummy half on both sides of the ruck. Nothing is more important than that in a 9 but I'm stating the obvious.
I'm not convinced Api is our guy but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

These are what trials are for though. He'll get his chance to prove me wrong.

Yes he is a Hooker but imo he will be more beneficial as a bench utility in this team as it stands. Hastings should be starting 9 with either Brown or Api snapping up the one bench utility spot. Im not saying he isn't a Hooker but the club now has a better option in Hastings.

Mate I'd give him a solid five.

Someone like Trent Barret maybe an 8.

Brad Pitt is probably a 9.

I've got a bit of a Tom Hardy man crush and he'd get a 9.5.
