Russia is ok (hope they have Santa) just as long as it's not those BLOODY DANES!

Trying to steal Hans Island off Canada! friggen chik chik boom those gerbil lovers.

International disputes over territory can be ugly affairs, waged with all the nastiness of a divorce, backed with the force of armies. Just in the last few years, China has built islands topped with military bases to back its claim to vast stretches of ocean, in conflict with half a dozen other Asian countries, while Russia has forged a path of bloodshed and destruction in Ukraine over its annexation of Crimea.

But that’s not how Canada and Denmark roll. Their way of contesting ownership of an uninhabited island in the Arctic would better suit a dinner party than a battlefield: It comes down to B.Y.O.B.

Svalbard, the Russians would love to have as would the Yanks!!

Full of one of the rarest energy sources we have, problem is we are still trying to finalise the process for using it, not far off from being implemented.

And definitely will be observing social distancing protocols no doubt ..
Regardless of Covid, I always maintain my distance from the hippies when I’m down there. Those dreadlocks harbour insects, rodents of all kind. At the very least you’ll come home with a tic, fleas, or one or more in the hepatitis range.

Every day I'm reading about players moving clubs, only to be informed it is for 2022 not next season. This, to me, should not be allowed.
Why players are permitted to enter into new contracts years in advance is a bad look for the sport. There must be a transfer window created at the end of each season like in other sports. Get all the movements for the upcoming season done after the grand final, and before pre-season starts.
No fan wants to have to support a player knowing that they have signed to play elsewhere. If they happen to have a poor match then they will be labelled as turncoats.
The other thing that shows the salary cap is a joke is the decimation of Penrith after they had one good year. They didn't even win the comp, yet their roster has been plundered -- particularly by the Dogs who have apparently found some buried treasure somewhere.
I feel a touch sorry for The 'Riff who are losing many players they invested time and effort into making them NRL standard. They obviously don't have the accounting 'smarts' of Easts who can continually win comps and still find the cash to buy established players.
Agree totally. Jai Arrow was a perfect example of this. Did sweet F/A at club level this year, and only got the origin gig ‘cause there was no other options.

Probably doesn't go in here but not worth starting a new thread about some ex nrl player living the thug life.

Police have charged former North Queensland Cowboys winger Gideon Gela-Mosby with assault occasioning bodily harm.
The Cairns Post reported Gela-Mosby allegedly punched two men in the Cairns CBD, leaving one with a fractured skull.

According to the report, police will allege the 23-year-old approached two men on the street at around 2:30am on Sunday, November 22, before punching one of them in the face without warning.

It is further alleged Gela-Mosby then punched the other man, who was attempting to aid his unconscious friend.

Seriously do these dips$&@$ ever learn
Maybe, but remember that police said Curtis Scott assaulted them. He was barely batting away their hands when poking him and they claimed assault. The Judge laughed at them and turned the assault back on the police.

He may well have done the wrong thing, but we should take pause whenever we hear stuff like this to get the facts.
