It's so hard to recommend signings these days. Forwards have such short shelf lives as enforcers Some quick examples include Klemmer, Tapau, even Taumalolo who have gone from being absolute enforcers for a few early years to just mailing it in. That's why I have been so surprised by TKO who has rolled his sleeves up and done his job every single week. He is a lock for our player of the year for sure.
Manly has been the garbage pail for NRL players for a decade now. Players come to Manly when they either have nowhere else to go, or use Manly to get top dollar and take it. The efforts by so many of the players we have brought in has been pathetic. We need to flip the script and go young and build a team from the ground up. I don't mind a few lean years if it gets us enforcers in their prime. Signing band-aid players for big money to appease impatience means we have a bleak future ahead.
