Was signed up Friday week ago when a Manly official met Pearce in Hawaii before he took off to USA to finish Holiday. I shared part of this info last week. He only got the release last night and contract was rushed over to NRL HQ today. There will be speculation still for a few days until NRL accept the contract after doing due diligence on Manly's salary cap position. Was told yesterday afternoon from my sources but was warned off putting on this website until Rooster Football club released news after being told by their board for fear of not getting any more mail. Evidently Roosters would not release him previously because they were trying to pressure him into staying.

Also hearing that we have around $500K to get another player - they are suggesting a big prop - assuming size because that is what it would take to feed one - not talent...

Pearce couldn't say anything until the NRL registers the contract that's why Maloney can't say he's going to the Riff as the NRL won't register the contract as there's some problem with the contract.

Yeah I'm with Weidler...there is no way a deal with Manly could be done in such a short space of time...

Pearce just doesn't wanna stay at Easts and he is due to train with them unless he is no longer employed there, hence the release request.

It will take a monumental effort from Manly to keep him from landing at the Sharks. They seem to be able to get who they want nowadays and Pearce is close with Graham, Gal and co.

Green was released because it was going to get ugly, not because we have a replacement.
