I don't mind people on here taking a swing at my posts, lobbing pot shot at my expense, or anything else they might feel compelled to write.

an explanation for my attitude
i have a strong opinion on DCE value and roles in our footy team. I see him as a wonderful player but not necessarily a great 7 over an extended period, not just 8 weeks this season

i try to balance my posts with what he does well and many of my posts are answering some over zealous comments on his contributions. but taking single comments out of 6 paragraphs not only loses the message but highlights the other posters needs to have a go

There is definately a “told you so club” that pops up every decent play he puts on and plenty of that gets aimed at yours truely. Being pragmatic and amenable in my opinion seems to attract the opposite way to often

but not my point, but if i dont put it out there someone will pick a single point and play the man

i dont have an agenda, like what is my end game.10 thousand posts and i get a nathan cleary key ring pffft. Sorry i do have an agenda, to talk about what would improve manly amongst fellow manly fans

yep. a semi and a preliminary final in that 4 years. some of the best rugby league I've ever seen in 2021. absolutely terrible by the mad professor.

It's not either positive or negative (and many like me swing both ways - so to speak - LAWL), but what we are watching is actually not entertaining anymore.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I don't look forward to games any longer. Silvertails in more enjoyable and connective than the club right now (who are full of mercenaries, and employ very unlikable characters - and we know who they are).

I don't even watch the games, apart from the wins on replay, which means honestly, in the last quite a few years, I haven't watched much Manly. We've lost our identity. We've lost our soul. We've lost our us against them culture.

It's all just "bleh". Blokes like Aloiai, Tuipulotu & their gang "so to speak" - borrrrrinnnng.

We'll likely win 1 more game this season. The usual end of season fade will root us, with the usual suspects being out and injured. That will leave us 10 wins, in 23 games (or 0.43% win ratio) WHICH, believe it or not, is improvement - jesus.

So in my opinion, this is where the frustration, annoyance, apathy, negativity stems from - people are just over it. They crave for something better or different. There's hope for next season with some fantastic buys in Paulo / Brooks (Talau is a disgrace), but without possibly 2 more marquee forwards being brought in, we are ****ed.

Condon, Boyle, Woods, Sipley (I'll group them for obvious reasons) - come ON
Tuilagi is exactly as we expected him to be - bog average
Croker - all heart, and effort - but NOT a specialist 9 !

Lodge - coming off an ACL, wasting cap space on him (already behind other teams now)
Olakau'atu - is our good forward
B. Turbo - Has potential
Keppie / Bullemor - two of our better forwards that Siebold drops every other game the dumb ****

But then compare that to The Panthers & pretty well every other team. Disgraceful group.

So yeah, it's just a complete lack of interest now. Players don't put in. Club is in standby mode, and happy to linger down the bottom of the table, while claiming we are a premiership team and this is our premiership window - jesus ****ing christ.

I totally get the numb-nuttery - coz I completely understand it.

We will never be in a so-called premiership window if we continue to have an unstable spine (injuries, origin, form), an understrength forward pack (quality of signings, injuries, depth) and a coaching team that needs short term results for job security instead of being able to work long term on the structure of the team to bring success.

If anyone thinks Seibold is a good coach they only need to compares us to the warriors

The warriors finished 15th in 2022 and we were 11th

Both teams sacked their 2022 coaches

Both teams have essentially the same players in 2023 as they did in 2022 with a couple of exceptions

We are shot ducks and the warriors look like finishing in the top 4

So many warriors players have improved in 2023 Shaun Johnston the prime example

Cannot think of any manly players who have improved this year

The Warriors have improved based a lot on their 2022 (for 2023) signings and AFB having a relatively uninjured year.

yeah im 57, went to cambo late seventies in grade 8 and 9. my first day there was a major lice epedemic as i joined mid semester. came from a marist brothers and had to wear the uniform by order of oldies and no one was in class.

it was hell. every day from then improved though. enjoyed my time. played for pen waratahs for a bit
