He deliberately and systematically led Australia into a culture of fear, greed, selfishness and hatred - the exact opposite of traditional Australian mateship.

You are entitled to this view but I personally would disagree with that. He did well with the Malaysian flight, he stood up to Putin, Indonesia and China. Repealing the carbon tax has put money back in a lot of people's pockets.

He failed as a leader because he couldn't communicate effectively with us and his policy on the fly. The captains calls are further examples of this and he was doomed the second they finished delivering the first budget. There is good work in amongst the SMH and Q & A spin...

We can look at it this way.......

At least we didn't have Beehive Bronnie as our #1 ticket holder. Now that would have been downright embarrassing.

Are the achievements you listed (tax aside) anything more than superficial chest-beating theatrics Loobs - sort of like Putin riding topless on a horse to show his virility?

Abbott did dump the carbon tax. But is that his achievement - or his fiscal failure? He had identified the budget deficit and debt as major crises that were his No1 priority to fix. Didn't Abbott sell out on fixing these claimed No1 priority crises when he dumped revenue from the carbon tax, without finding any alternative income source? In addition, for short-term political gain, he kept in place the budgeted expenditure funded by the carbon tax revenue. How would those actions be an achievement for a responsible government?

We seem to agree that Abbott sold all of his significant political capital in his very first budget. And it was only downhill from there. Even his personal media channels of redneck radio (2GB) and redneck rags (News Ltd) couldn't save him from himself. Remember his own party were the ones who dumped him.

haha budgie smuggler.. geddit?
Abbott - the most divisive, the most negative PM Australia has ever had. He deliberately and systematically led Australia into a culture of fear, greed, selfishness and hatred - the exact opposite of traditional Australian mateship. Good riddance.

The Liberal Party became a whole lot more dignified and electable last night. Hopefully PM Turnbull can rein in the right wing extremist faction within his party to become a statesmanlike, human leader of all, like Michael Baird is at the State level.

Fraser was the last of the honourable it seems, looking back like

@Eagle1 Haha am I a bludger? I work two Jobs and study usually but i have finished my studies until i start Uni in march next year so I'm currently working 50 hours a week. The last two weeks i worked 70 hours while my boss was in Korea on Holidays. When I'm not working, I'm at the gym and I'm looking into becoming an uber driver In the new year. If you do more than me I'll take up a fourth job as an astronaut. As for Abbott all of those things you mentioned are terrible for the country. His action on climate change was disgusting and criticised around the world, His tax breaks to big companies were criminal, His action on refugees proved he had no empathy toward what Australia had clearly forgotten are HUMAN BEINGS before the Syrian refugee crisis. If you think stopping boats means stopping deaths then your not thinking about what happens to people after they are turned away. Please put down the Daily Telegraph, it is rotting your brain. Just remember what they tried to do to Brett Stewart, it is un Manly to read that thing!
Yeah, but who's going to replace Foran?

Doesn't Matter what side you are on. None of them can really be trusted they are all in it for themselves. Abbott is sitting pretty now, 300K a year, Free car, Free Travel for the rest of his life. Turnbull is worth 1.9 Billion as it is and when he is gone in 12 months he will be on 600K Plus a Year and all the freebies thrown in. Its like a Revolving Door. None of them keep their promises . They say what they have to say for us fools to believe them. You watch Julia Bishop will be the next to be PM. I wonder if she is Single

Abbott should have gone down the "darkest day in Australian sports" route.
The socialist Leftards swallowed that whole.

Cleaing up Labors mess. Makes me laugh. The Deficit blew out by over 50% under the Libs, unemployment up, growth down, business confidence down, the reputation of the country a laughing stock. Oh for the relative success of Labor. And more power to the unions, they're the reason why our pay and working conditions aren't equivalent to your average endentured slave labourer in china.

This above message was sponsored by the CFMEU.

lol. Welcome back WAMF.

Was wondering when you'd bring up the darkest day. Let's ignore the unprecedented number of guilty admissions and bans imposed by the footy codes, let's ignore the Essendon admissions, lets forget the unprecedented number of long term and lifetime bans. The World Anti-doping Agency, having all available evidence, apparently still believes it was by far the darkest day in Australian sport, believe Australia hasn't treated this seriously enough, and believe they can prosecute it.

Must be some Labor, CFMEU, Greenie, Socialist, Leftist plot. As a matter of curiosity, WAMF, what do you think was the darkest day?

That Whitlam and Fraser went through the most difficult and confrontational period in Australian politics, from opposite sides of the political fence, and ended up good mates points to the class and humanity of both.

Haters gonna hate. In my eyes, the recent extreme political hatred only makes those politicians look shallow, inflexible, inherently blinded by bias, lacking in credibility, unintelligent and one-dimensional.

Abbott is four days short from being eligible for his prime ministership pension, you need to break two years in the job. Lol.

Let's face it very few of us on here will be happy with whichever person is the Prime Minister, half of you hate Abbot, half of you hate Turnbull, half of you hate Shorten.

You can rave on about how bad Abbott has been, but let's not forget th debacle that was the last Labor government.

So, let's assume the ABC/ Fairfax ( which largely control the way you feel about the conservative Government) begins to shaft Turnbull ( and thy will), by next election you'll want to ditch him AND then in comes the CFMEU and Shorten ( which the other half of you hate).

News Ltd now ramp up and bring down Shorten, he might last 2 years but certainly not a full term, then up steps who??? Penny Wong ( she'd have to give up a Senate seat and be parachuted into the lower house), and then here we go again, thE media will attack and attack until she's had her use by date.

The point I'm making here is ( and this is happening world wide in similar democracies ) that the 24 hours news cycle, the 30 second grab is designed for PM's to be crucified.

Not withstanding some of Tony's " captains calls" we're just plain terrible and Hockey should never have been treasurer but the current government , and indeed the last one, did do some good work.....only trouble is we never got to hear about it.

Sorry, this shouldn't be on a football forum BUT someone else started it !!

We need to get Christopher "i'm the fixer, I fixed it" Pyne to work on Brooky,

He can do anything as long as you don't ask for how or proof.

While he is a complete wanker, with no economic policy, its not his fault that Brookie isn't getting upgraded. He could fund us $100 million, and nothing would happen. It will never get council approval.

I'm a big user of Uber and was recently asked via email to contact my local member of parliament and tell them why I like using Uber.
They had a pre written email that I send to Mike Bairds office and I couldn't help myself to add an extra paragraph about Brooky.

This was what I received 10 mins after sending.

In relation to Brookvale Oval, the NSW Government has not committed any funding to Brookvale Oval. I understand the Federal Government committed $10million of funding prior to the last election. The Office of Sport is currently discussing the Centre of Excellence requirements with the Manly Sea Eagles. The hiring agreement between Manly Warringah Sea Eagles and Warringah Council regarding Brookvale Oval lies exclusively with those two entities.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to email the Premier.
