Yes all very subjective of course. I gave credit for making it onto the park each week, that is where guys like Turbo and Lawton bombed out.

I actually think some of the scoring above is generous across the players I think Burbo is a D. nice kid but is barely a first grader. Keppie is a D as well. Can play a lot better than what he played this year.
Jake is a B because he gives away too many penalties. Paseka is a C minus. He did not do much at all this season. Marty is D considering what he was getting paid.

On ability he remains AAA but as our undisputed main man, playing only 7 games all season, of which we lost 4 ... I'm sure he'd rate his season a fail!

8 debutantes this year. Man we have had some turnover. If we have a consistent spine and sign a decent prop or two next season I think we can have a shot

Your report cards were more or less spot on

The report card should also read the Manly 2022 playing squad under Des Hasler underachieved
and gets an F for failing to make the top 8 and live up to the clubs benchmark of excellence

In the beginning of the season we expected more form our coach and our squad but all season we saw Des's squad squander any opportunities in games to finish off the opposition and prevail

As for excuses go
Any tom dick and harry can come up with excuses
But coaches who are paid over half a million dollars a season are paid to come up with solutions
Des was not able to come up with anything new to inspire change and we saw the same same predictable game plans and team selections that never changed the course off our season for our team to establish a top 8 position on the table

It seemed Des has ran out of new ideas and that the modern game has passed on from the past Manly Legend

Des has valiantly called for his critics to line up because he still believes he has got what it takes to take Manly to the top in the modern game and 2023 is his defying season

Good luck Des we really hope 2023 goes well but if we get another 2022 mediocre year where the manly team broke many records of defeat its time for you to go

To be completely fair to Trev he’s been thrust into playing centre 2 or 3 times and whilst he’s a park footballer at best he’s no where a centre!!
