2019 State of Origin Chat. DECIDER!

I thought hunt was awesome especially in the second half. Played 80 mins as well incredible effort.

NSW has always had this problem, they move on to the next bright and shiny flash in the pan like Walker and drop guys that have done the hard yards for them and won like Maloney. Watch these idiots pick Pearce for game 2. Unfortunately We get what they deserve.

Hit the nail on the head mate. There is a very good reason Qld are so dominant. They back their players.

The best try was Jakey with Chez wrapped around him under the post

3 tries to 2 a good reflection of game 1 but Qld also had 3 disallowed.

DCE is the perfect role model for our game, plays well, speaks articulate, pleasure to interview, perfect role model for our game

Yet instead they put up the likes of sCam Smith, Studs up Slater, Drink Drive 1nglis and Peptide Paul Gallen as the role models.

If Cherry played for just about anyone other than Manly.....he probably would be one of the NRL's more favoured role models and media darlings.

3 disallowed and 2 completely bombed (Chambers). It could have been worse.

7. DALY CHERRY-EVANS (c) - 6.5

Struggled with his kicking game early but formed a really nice combination with Chambers on the right edge with a number of bullet passes early in sets to create space. Handled the responsibility of the captaincy well and played a solid hand at halfback.

I'm a big believer that journalists should write their articles first....THEN smoke a joint.

Yea I was thinking the same.Early on his kicks were going nowhere but high and amounted to nothing. Cherry seems to kick better closer to the line. He did get better though as the game progressed.I am so glad he did well all round and defended well.

Queensland deserved the win. They played to their potential & possibly can't improve further. I think NSW can improve a lot, but may need to recall Maloney (don't know if Keary will be fit for game 2). Walker was fairly ineffective & Mitchell is out of sorts. The NSW left edge defence was terrible. Attack & defence suffered when Jake was off the field - think he should play 80 minutes. Tom will likely be recalled for next game, but both Morris & Cotric played well with limited opportunities. Murray made an impressive debut.

Manly will get a great boost with the brothers & DCE back in the team.
