Zac Woolford signs with Knights,they are putting together a pretty decent side,will be interesting to see those young guys develop in a year or 2.....
 
Knights co-captain Jamie Buhrer has re-signed with the club on a one-year deal, tying him at Newcastle until at least the end of the 2019 season.

The 28-year old crossed from the Manly Sea Eagles to the Knights in 2017 and was pleased to extend his stay in the red and blue.


“I always wanted to stay at the Knights,” Buhrer told newcastleknights.com.au.

“Since I arrived at the club only a few year ago, I’ve immediately felt at home.

“My family and I absolutely love Newcastle and couldn’t imagine leaving.

THE top grade career of one of the most colourful and controversial players in rugby league history has come to an end.

Former Dally M Medallist Todd Carney has shelved his plan to return to the NRL in 2019 and signed a deal to captain-coach Byron Bay on the NSW north coast.

“It’s an exciting opportunity for me to put something back into the game and I’m looking forward to it,” the 32-year-old Carney told WWOS.
 
The Newcastle Knights have signed talented young hooker Zac Woolford on a one year deal for the 2019 season. Woolford was man of the match in the Canterbury Bulldogs ISP grand final win.
