As much as i hate all scummos, he's been good tonight.

Watch him off the ball, his urgency to get to the right position has to be respected.
And for the most he is so positionally and defensively sound.

Add his attacking abilities................

Forward passes are the most inconsistently refereed part of the game....

Every week there are so many that are not pulled up, and then they sometimes get some pure bull**** calls.

Also it seems the last pass to the winger scoring in the corner is allowed to be forward (unless its Manly)

I disagreed because I thought he had a relatively poor second half, and I don't think he deserved the MoM (that should have gone to Klemmer). And I have watched enough rugby league in my life to have an opinion whether it disagrees with yours or not.

That match proved how much better RL is when adjudicated by one referee. A big tick to Checcin, who is one of our least favourite refs. But he showed he does have a feel for the game, letting it flow and making quick judgement calls. Just one referral to the video ref. Three penalties. Perhaps a forward pass or two, but that is for the linesmen to check.
Let's hope the NRL swallow their pride and return the sport to one ref, to keeping the penalties down and to keeping the video ref out of the game.

The problem every other mere mortal player faces is the media gobble off of the "big 3".
If anyone else has designs on winning a m.o.m award they had better play well above themselves because we all love these 3 whether we like it or not.
Because the media and toddles says so.
