The success of @Stuey Davis Socks this year is a direct result of the high percentage of "socks down" players we currently have in our team...just like Stuey in his heyday.

I'm not sure if it was the wet weather causing it on the weekend but I reckon half the team had the socks round the ankles. Stuey would have been proud.

Yeh sorry - been a busy week. Basically everyone got 7 from 8 and about 10 people tied for the top spot by being 1 off the margin in the Dragons v Tigers game - including me WOOHOO !! ...finally got a bonus game right.

I'll have to work out who to give the double pass to at some point.

This weeks bonus game is Tigers and Warriors - sorry I didn't realise I'd chosen the Tigers two weeks in a row for bonus games till just now.

Round 21 was another week of favourites saluting the judges. Possibly only the Roosters and the Sharks draw were the unusual results. Funnily enough we do get a few tippers opting for draws each week, but no one went that one this week in the Titans v Sharks. Consequently we had a dozen tippers getting 7 from 8, and pretty much everyone else got 6 right this week.

Of those 12 tippers there were 2 who managed to get within 1 point of Tigers 15 point thrashing of the Eels. So well done to @ManlyMit and @Eagles2nv - you've scored this weeks double pass to Brookie. Only a couple of games left at the old girl this year too. @Stuey Davis Socks was solid again this week, and the lack of upsets each week is making it difficult for the tipping peleton to catch him. With only 5 rounds left I can't see him faltering now unless there are some bizarre from reversals and some long shots getting up. There's still a bit of interest in the minor placings with @Eagleheart and @Andrew.. holding off @Vyssini . Can @Clint fight his way onto the dais for a medal to keep his run of top 3 finishes going ?? Leaderboard this week

So finally after quite a few weeks of boring results with favourites dominating, Round 22 gave us some upsets. Manly were pretty poor, Raiders ended the Sharks winning streak, Storm got taken all the way by the Bunnies and the Tigers knocked off the defending premiers.

Despite all this we had 8 tippers who still managed to get 6 from 8 out of all that. But who could get closest to the Panthers 20 point win in the bonus game ?? That honour has gone to @DVS Matt , who has rejoined the tipping comp after a bit of a sabbatical. Let me know if you want the double pass and PM your name and best email address.

The pack of tippers chasing @Stuey Davis Socks have been waiting for a few upsets in the hope of making up some ground. Not sure how many cashed in on it though as the lead has increased at the top. If I was William Hill I think I'd be paying out on Stuey for Season 2016, he looks home.

That's probably to do with the delay in naming the final six rounds of the NRL and the way the alerts are set up. Because the schedule wasn't finalised it was hard to set the alerts. I'll have a look and see if we can fix.

Some more upsets in Round 23 has kept things mildly interesting and also cleaned out the Last Fan Standing ranks. Dragons, Bunnies, Roosters and Raiders all knocked over their more fancied opponents. Add that to two very close games and it was a tough weekend of tipping.

Amazingly we had one tipper who managed 6 from 8 in all of that....how I have no idea. So well done @Brookie Brawler you've scored this weeks double pass to Brookie. Just in time to watch us take on our modern day rivals The Storm, perhaps in a repeat of the infamous battle of Brookvale depicted in your avatar. Our overall leader @Stuey Davis Socks stumbled a little, only managing 3 from 8....luckily one of those was the bonus game so he picked up the all important extra point. Gives the chasers the slightest sniff of hope as his lead drops back to 9 points with 3 rounds left. It'd would be a monumental choke, to rival Greg Norman, should he lose from here......but you never know

My crazy tipping last week was clearly consistent with my efforts the rest of this season. Unfortunately the on field results haven't gone my way until now - as evidenced by my 50% tipping rate for the year!
