I live in Queensland mate. We haven't fully adopted the metric system yet. It was hard enough for me to convert their weight to kilograms ;)

Chee Kam 190cm.
Fa'aoso 184cm
Gower 189cm
Hasson 191cm
Lawrence 184cm
Musolino 186cm
Sao 187cm

Since we are talking recruitment, I'd like to say that I think David Warwick, our recruitment manager has done a fantastic job in bringing these young guys to the club. Well done David!

When I was watching the great sitcom "Corner Gas", Hank - one of the characters (obv) said that in this day and age we interestingly do weight in kilos (metric) and height in feet and inches (empirical.)

So the orig posts sits well in my head.

As we know, the empirical system is based on the number 12, eg 12 inches equals 1 foot. Basing the system on 12 means measurements can be divided by 2, 3, 4, and 6 (not including 1 and 12, obv) whereas the metric system, based on the number 10 is only divisible by 2 and 5.

Interestingly when flying, vertical height is required in feet, eg we are at 30,000 feet and horizontal distance is in metres, eg we are 500 metres away from the airport.

Although to shorten things 30,000 feet is just referred to as FL 30 (flight level 30.)

To help you out, 6 feet is 182.88 cms as 1 inch is (we all know) 2.5cms.

You're welcome!

Pilots continue to use feet because of the impression it gives them they've got a lot more time/distance to do something, prior to hitting the ground.

And most importantly, it's called the 'mile high club' not the 1.6 klm club!

When was the last time you saw a 5ft 8in, 80kg forward playing NRL ?

Everyone is big and mobile these days.

Where was Musolino mentioned as a new recruit?

Zerotackle.com

Fair enough you got me on a technicality, but i didn't have hookers in mind when I was thinking forwards.

Add Justin Horo and Esi Tonga from Parra and Kayne Lawton from the Titans to the list. All 3 have signed with Manly.
