He's got all off season to recover. He'll play.
and there's zero chance he'd want to participate in the World Cup, given his injury prone legs . . . so yes, no training for Snake until January.

A good article comparing all the season's stats between Manly halves DCE & Foran vs Chook Pearce & Maloney can be obtained @ http://www.foxsports.com.au/league/roosters-halves-mitchell-pearce-and-james-maloney-vs-manlys-daly-cherry-evans-and-kieran-foran-may-decide-grand-final/story-e6frf3ou-1226732980107

Five reasons Manly can win:

1. Big game experience

It has been the big game experience that has helped Queensland dominate NSW at Origin level, and it will be that same factor that will help Manly overcome the Roosters. The Sea Eagles players have 26 games of grand final experience between them. It's hard to see any team with Brett Stewart, Anthony Watmough, Jamie Lyon and Glenn Stewart getting beaten on the big stage.

2. Stewart brothers

Don't underestimate how important the Stewart brothers are to Manly. When one plays, they win most games. When both play, those odds of victory increase dramatically. If anyone knows this, it's South Sydney, after the brothers combined to end their season in last weekend's preliminary final at ANZ Stadium. Their connection and ability to read each other's next move are what make them so dangerous. Don't forget Brett Stewart did not play in the first week of the finals against the Roosters.

3. The halves

Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans are the best halves pairing in the competition. Mitchell Pearce and James Maloney are a close second, but neither has been able to deliver on the biggest stage. Pearce has struggled to take his game to the next level at Origin and did not stand up in the 2010 decider. Maloney experienced similar stage fright in this year's Origin series, as well as the 2011 grand final against the Warriors. Cherry-Evans and Foran have won a premiership together and have tasted success at international and Origin level.

4. Kicking game

The Roosters have scored the least tries from kicks this seasonof any team, despite having the tallest winger in the competition in Daniel Tupou on one side of the field. The last time the Roosters played Manly, the only try of the match came off the boot and resulted in Roger Tuivasa-Sheck claiming the match winner. Cherry-Evans and Foran need to utilise the boot if they again struggle to penetrate the Roosters defence.

5. Right-side potency

Manly's right-edge combination of Glenn Stewart, Lyon, Cherry-Evans and David Williams has produced 54 tries this season compared with 45 on the left. Despite the Roosters having the best defensive record in the competition, their one weakness appears to be their far left edge, which has conceded 19 tries this season compared with eight on their right.

Apparently, Wayne Pearce lost both of his GFs.
Lets hope its congenital :D

Win big Manly, dont leave anything in the tank!

The fine conditions and heat should help to keep the pitch dry thru to 7:15.

Think this will help the backs so this game will not finish 4-0. However Kitey, Choc, gifty may suffer with the heat. Brenton, Buhrer, TRed, Gifty will have to really stand up to those super fit Roosters.

This is going to be a hard close match. Lets hope the pressure is just too much for Pearce & Maloney and they have a melt down in the heat.

5 hrs to go.
