First up you could volunteer at a human rights organisation that specialises in developing strategies to counter racism in communities
You mean, like the Human Rights Commission? Look, you’re an intelligent guy and you know I didn’t ask where I can volunteer. I asked what were your impactful ways to counter racism that don’t involve calling out inappropriate stuff when we come across it.

You know I already posted this in the Tyrone thread last week:

https://humanrights.gov.au/sites/default/files/casual-racism-faqs.pdf
What should I do when I encounter casual racism?
A change in social attitudes is necessary for combatting casual racism. Everyone can
contribute to this change through speaking up against racism when they encounter it

And from the same source:

when bystanders stay silent, it sends the message that racism is acceptable
Bystander action | Racism. It Stops With Me

They actually suggest deleting online posts or banning posters, but for one thing The Who is a valuable and respected poster here so I’d always prefer to discuss an issue

Finally, I come on this site to talk about NRL, and the greatest Rugby League club in the world, the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
As do we all. But footy doesn’t exist in a vacuum and whenever social issues arise in the world of NRL you always jump into the discussion as much as anyone else! Which is a good thing. There was discussion in the Tyron thread when I replied to The Who, and you put in your detailed, reasoned opinion, as you were quite entitled.

I have to say a lot of people on here take themselves way to seriously for a fan forum, which is, what this site is supposed to be about after all.
So who made you emperor dictator and Big Brother to lay down what Silvertails is all about? When you signed up here you indicated you understood the terms, which clearly spell out the sorts of things that are not permitted.

There's not much footy on at the moment and if you don’t want to read or comment on a post no-one’s forcing you.

It’s a financial disadvantage to our club, in that the Penns have to dig into their pockets to pay another player up to what Fainus salary would be.

So if the salary cap is $10m and Fainu is on $300k per year, Manly is allowed to spend $10.3m to replace him and the $300k is excluded.
I'd be having him mow my lawns at the very least!

Tigers would have needed to offer plenty because he is a gun player, he's at a club with realistic (sort of) high ambitions next year, and the Tigers would be really on the nose with players after this year's dramas. He could turn out to be a key signing in that he's so good, others may be more open to join them now. Although whether they've got any cap space left is now a problem.

I can see us going for Luc for 2023 as Tigers wont keep both backrowers on 600k. And we will hopefully free up cap space after Marty finishes up at the end of the year. I rate Luc, he will prosper under Des and will add to our stacked pack. Just wouldn't pay more than 600k for him though.
Coz we are REALLY short on backrowers right?
