    Waddell - a pleasant surprise

When he first played with us he was early 20's. Around 23-24. You could see he was a smart footballer and got himself into the right place at the right time but was still a little raw and, somewhat, uncouth. The 3 years away has given him more experience and time to develop his game and has...

    The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

If Manly has the option of dissolving the contract due to not meeting performance based contracts and they decide to pay Josh 200 K for the next 3 year they should stipulate that all of the money goes to Josh. Tartak should get nothing as he didn't look after the welfare of his client.

    Lawton a cowboi

I thought Crokes was a little more active out of dummy half tonight which helped to create some time and space for the forwards. The Lawman was also urgent and effective defensively when he came on which was exactly what we needed at the time.

    Garricks performance at centre

Bring back, Hank. No issue in defense and runs those tough lines. TBH, when you look at the way the players respect his input, I am not sure why the fans are so tough on him.

    MVP: Rd 7 v Titans

3 Jake - held the middle together when it was needed and put his body on the line at the end 2 Lodge - first game back and launched himself at the defensive line like the madman he is. Toughed out 3 stints which will hold him in good stead for next week. At one stage was very red and blowing...

Turbos D looks down on past?

IMO, we go to Tom too much that it becomes predictable. Used more sparingly, and, at times as a decoy, it becomes more effective as teams can no longer double team him.

    New rule? Leaping for bomb

I felt Barnett getting pinged as a disruptor when Tommy knocked on was a harsh call. To me it looked like he went in to challenge but pulled out at the last minute as he felt he wasn't in the best position. From a safety standpoint, isn't this exactly what they are asking players to do?

    Is Mestrov really our Messiah?

If you read the post that reboots the thread they specifically state that it is in no way to throw shade your way but the last thread about Mestrov.

We need to get that Winning "Attitude" back

We may be going in the right direction. I can't remember any of the top Manly teams of the 80's & 90's who didn't drop at least one game to a team in the bottom quarter of the ladder.

    Nathan Brown Impact?

Let's see where we are at season's end.

    Nathan Brown Impact?

He won my, and likely many of the Brooky faithful's, MotM. In answer to the original title question, while still early days, I don't think it being too far fetched the comparison to one BK stated earlier in the thread. From what I am hearing, he trained the house down during the pre-season...

    MVP: Rd 5 v Panthers

While he may not have bent the line, never took a backward step and took it to them in both attack and defence. Inspirational performance. They mentioned on the TV commentary he got a standing ovation from the crowd. Is this true?

    MVP: Rd 5 v Panthers

Brown Sipley DCE Many contenders this week unlucky to miss out.

    MVP: Rd 2 v Roosters

3 - Paseka - Bent the line all day 2 - Brooks - Seemed like he took the right option every time he touched the ball 1- Jake - Alongside his work in the middle, just his effort to get to that loose ball Koula & Olakau'atu unlucky to miss out.

    Who misses out?

Aloiai for Lodge Waddell for Sipley Paulo or Talau for Saab

UFC’s plans to put roof over 4 Pines Park

Have been loving the drone shots of a packed Brookie. How are we going to get those with a roof on the stadium? ;)

    Trial vs Broncos

We don't sell the Brisbane game anymore, it just gets scheduled for Magic Round each year nowadays. The NRL logic of 'fairness'.

    Trial V Roosters

While I love your passion @BOZO, let's remember it was a trial match with many fringe players involved.

    The Manly Way

And holy ****, I thought I was bad a speeches. Kids, don't take notes from Scott Penn on how to engage and inspire a rugby league team. Did anyone say 'awkward'?
