    Wayne Cousins ( Media Manager)

I think the Australian ones do show bias but from what I've seen, it's nowhere near the propaganda level of their American counterparts. They are scary. They feed on confirmation bias and us against them division.

    2024-2025

I agree it's tough on McSweeney but I'm happy with a strategy of giving more than one candidate a few tests and seeing what comes out of it. Hopefully, someone takes their chance and the others go back to domestic cricket with a better awareness of what's required at the top level. We are going...

    2024-2025

I think it's a mistake to persist with marsh. He is basically being selected as a batsman. Fine when green is in the team but the balance is off without him. It was exacerbated by hazelwood's injury but the problem was there anyway. You could see it in the second innings of the first test too...

    Who’s “ stepping up” in 2025

Isn't that Tyran Wishart? I think he'd get picked on merit if he was available for manly.

Announcement Upgrade and Downtime This week

I imagine cost is always going to be a big constraint. I wouldn't have thought you'd have that much data to store but things like CPU, dynamic scaling and bandwidth would be issues.

Announcement Upgrade and Downtime This week

Ah, this site has a better memory than I do: " This site kept killing my tablet when I used it through Chrome. Restart, clear cache etc. Now I am using samsung internet just for this site and haven't had any more issues. "

Announcement Upgrade and Downtime This week

Using the samsung browser, I've found responsiveness to be generally good but unusable under high load. I often gave up after big games. My main browser is Chrome but I stopped using it for this site some time ago. I can't remember why (see the how old are you survey post) but I think it was...

    The Daly Cherrygraph

Everything except that cherry may or may not play in 2026 (is that news?) looks like speculation based on nothing. I thought turbo was going into the centres. How many positions is he going to play? Can we fire the rest and have tom play all the positions? No mention of Walsh. I thought he was...

    LOL @ Tigers

They will have a good spine. Their weakest link is probably stronger than most teams. Nowhere near the storm though. Who is their weakest spine player? Munster?

    2026 recruitment & retention

Lehi was 18 this time last year. I know, he wasn't top 30 but he wouldn't have been out of place given how things turned out. Perhaps Walsh is viewed in a similar light.

    2026 recruitment & retention

More than Bennett over Seibold, if schu does come good, I think it could be from the psychology of a fresh start.

    Aus vs Tonga

Yeah, change for the sake of change. Teddy was best fb this year (not true last year). DCE is the best available 7.

    Albo blew it (again)

Yeah, brooks was one of the best. PNG dominated the start. The game turned when brooks and wishart came on.

    2024 Dally M points

    Or two two game suspensions.

    Turbo good to go

Turbo won't be very far down the dally m leaderboard, even with injuries.

    2025

I don't think our predictable attack through the middle helps our middle defense. If we are easy to defend, their guys aren't getting tired; they can come at us harder; we get more tired; our middle attack gets weaker; they get less tired; we get more tired; we tackle less well; they can...

MVP: Finals Week 2 v Roosters

Looks like a race between ola, haumole and guac for silvertails mom this week.

    Post-Game Discussion Chooks V Manly [Finals Week 2, 2024]

Yeah, I think turbo was struggling with an existential crisis about the number 9 on his back.
