Albo blew it (again)

The only PNG try he was directly ‘opposing’ was the second one, when he was dragged over the line by the tryscorer. He wasn’t on the field when the PNG outfit scored their last two tries.

Gould made the mistake of claiming he was, after the PNG PMXIII’s last try, only to be subtly corrected by Billy Slater during the replay.

Not Garrick’s best game, but not helped by the playmakers generally favouring the left side, rather than Reuben’s.

He also missed a one-on-one tackle in the Kumuls' best try - the one from the chip over the top. His positioning was fine, but the guy went straight through him. Not sure if that was their-second last try, but it was definitely Rueben, and he was definitely hooked (which surprised me) and replaced by Fletcher Sharpe immediately after it happened.

Sorry Terry, but he directly missed his opposite on a 1 v 1 for PNGs second last try. The one with the kick over the top.

How did Brooksy and Ethan go?
Brooks was excellent. You could see his experience and skill made a difference as soon as he came on (they started with Galvin and Fogarty in the halves). Bully was a little quiet and didn't get huge minutes. The only other kinda Manly standout was Weekes. He scored a couple of nice tries and looked very dangerous when he replaced Fletcher Sharpe (who was not good) at fullback.

Other standouts were Beau Fermor, Sam McIntyre, Jacob Liddle and Tallis Duncan.

Well, unless there was a jumper swap at half time, someone is wrong (and it aint Gould)...

Yeah, brooks was one of the best. PNG dominated the start. The game turned when brooks and wishart came on.

Garrick was playing #3, hasn’t he been playing #4 this season. He has been bagged all season at centre, I don’t think playing him the opposite site of the field helped any

Garrick is a winger... whats more, Garrick is a VERY GOOD winger... the sooner Manly and Reuban work that out the better...

Otherwise, let him go play centre for another club and use his $600-700K elsewhere... I do not often praise StMerge but they handled Lomax perfectly (as I suspect Parra will figure out in 2025)

Something noteworthy is that Garrick is on <600k a year, as he isn't noted in the DT rich list. Given Addo-Carr was on 800K, and so was Lomax, this certainly means we aren't paying overs. He wasn't paid as a first-class centre, and he isn't playing as one, so this was a good move for the club.

If I remember correctly, Saab is on 350k or so. If that's correct, we're only paying about 200k more at most for Garrick, which certainly isn't bad, even if he moved back to the wing.
