Zorbas View in Manly Daily - What's doing there?

Zorbas View in Manly Daily - What's doing there? I would hope that Rose and Robertson were playing Premier League next year. Reasonable back-up, that's all. Steppa and Hicks for wings in my books.

2006 5/8's - where would YOU rate Monaghan?

2006 5/8's - where would YOU rate Monaghan? Early on in the season I believe it was Walker, but once he started getting distracted from footy it was actually Monaghan who lead our winning streak at the back end of the season. It just seemed to work better with a genuine 5/8, runnign second...

    Travis Burns

From what i've seen of Burns he is a pretty strong defender, throws himself at the line, and can make the odd break with the ball. Unfortunately I don't see him having a great kicking or passing game. I hope he continues to improve and does become a regular first grader, but at this stage I...

2006 5/8's - where would YOU rate Monaghan?

2006 5/8's - where would YOU rate Monaghan? My first line covered that, then I just went on a bit of a rant. With Walker outside him in 2004 Monaghan played some outstanding footy.

2006 5/8's - where would YOU rate Monaghan?

2006 5/8's - where would YOU rate Monaghan? It's also hard for the Roosters to have 2 5/8's. Monaghan would be above Finch, Holdsworth and Hohaia for mine. And just quietly get over making threads purely to bag Monaghan. It is starting to give me the ****s. For god's sake we get the point...

    How many?

I would pick this starting side.......... 1. Lockyer 2. Minichiello 3. Gasnier 4. Cooper 5. King 6. Barrett 7. Johns 8. Price 9. Buderus 10. Bailey 11. Hindmarsh 12. Fitzgibbon 13. Kennedy Dunno what Bennett will do though, probably Berrigan in there somewhere.

    Adam Dykes???

IMO Dykes is a waste of money. Chucked a tissy at Parra and played like Princess on a bad day, after a couple of hamburgers and a case of beer. If he could find his previous form maybe, but it is a major risk. Hecks and Kylie are both around next year.

    Sun-Herald news

Chad Randall was taking up valuable room in the salary cap, and playing poor below standard footy. As much as his Dad is a Manly legend, doesn't mean you keep the guy on board. You only keep useless players if their dad runs the recruitment drive.

    Teams for semis

Interesting that Randall is the extra man, would have though Flash would get a call up if Hicksy was out. Looks like they would start Randall, Dunley off bench, Menzies to centres, Harris start, Matai wing, Willo to 5/8. I know Matai had a reasonable game against the Raiders, but I'm still a...

If It Were Bears The Survived

If Norths survived instead of Manly three things would have happened...... 1 - I would not support League 2 - this site would not exist 3 - Arko/Max would've had to have jumped ship to fund the low lifes debts

    Manly wins all three grades

There are about 2 Flegg guys I reckon can make it, the rest of the talent comes form the SG Ball side. My tip for the next couple of years..... Aaron Groom, Innoxi Tapatoutai, Sean Meaney, Tom Joseph.
  12. B

Probably the best time for it........

We've made the semis for the first time in 8 years, I think that is reason enough to chuck down the team you think should be selected for next week. 1. Stewart 2. Stephenson 3. Alberts 4. Hill 5. Hicks (if injured Matai in side, please no Donald) 6. Witt (Will be targeted in defense, but...

    Gameday Breakdown...

You can't fault Steppa, one mistake he made early on apart from that he was awsome. Most wingers would have come in on Mogg when he was about to offload, Steppa stayed wide and bundled the guy into touch. One try saved. Brett Stewart, despite looking a little bit slower than usual, saved...

    Next Year

Get a whole offseason of goalkicking into Orford, Hicks and Monaghan. Pick Ballin at hooker, Dunners off the bench.

    The negatives (for Realists only)

Groom and Meaney are going to be pushing for first grade in the next two years from what i've heard of their last few performances. Groom has held the massive step up with ease.

    Who went off??????

68 from 7 hitups, and 19 tackles. Extremely sub-standard. Leulaui was dynamic off the bench tonight, that break he made off the kick off was sensational.

    Who went off??????

Might not have got much game time but check this out..... Kite - 174 metres Kennedy - 195 metres - 20 tackles Watmough - 155 metres - 29 tackles (made too many mistakes though) Heckenburg - 98 metres - 29 tackles

Stewart, BK, Harris, Manu, Kite, Alberts?

BK, Stewart and Handbag are fit to play apparently. What is everyones thoughts on Manly chasing Willie Manu? Why isn't Alberts playing first grade? Why is Kite on the bench?

    Interesting to note........

Jamie Peacock, Leon Pryce and Stuart Reardon have confirmed they are leaving Bradford next year. You all might say... pfft who cares. Well my news is that Leon Pryce (youngster GB centre) is going to St Helens. Hold on doesn't Jamie Lyon play for St Helens? They wouldn't be planning...

    Same team named for Raiders

It is a disgrace. Hecks and Alberts are injured for a few weeks and have to start back in PL, 2 of our best players. Yet unfit clowns like Hill and King jump straight back in, and consistently play badly. Bring back Flash, and for god's sake start with Kite and not that one dimensional...
