Utter bullsh1t, the Coach is the one working with the playing group on a day to day basis. It is the Coach that sets the tone, the culture. Barrett is the one responsible.
To think Trent Barrett has ever had complete control of Manly club culture on his watch is stupidity run rampant Ralphie. The key word being "club" culture, not "coach" culture. The club essentially sets the parameters for all internal functions and operations, including coaching obviously. Trent has to both work with, and implement the coaching program within those set parameters. These parameters provide the foundation for the evolution of club culture within the organisation. In this case we are seeing the devolution of the ideal Manly club culture, into something that barely resembles it right now. Yes Trent has to take some responsibility for this, but it seems that our administrations consistent dysfunctionality over time, has now rubbed off on the playing group. To say "Barrett is the one responsible" is simplistic nonsense.
