Does anybody know what our record is with grant atkins as ref. I know it's poor.
Game was over at half time after he gave them 65 % ball in first half. Couldn't buy a 6 again.

Not blaming Atkins for that performance. We were quite pathetic all on our own.

But, in answer to your question.....

Manly's first view of Grant Atkins as a referee was in 2014 (we beat the Worms 22–18 at Brookie). He's refereed us in 21 games and we have a 11–10 record.

Disppointing tonight... not in any order
Foz - pretty sure he was trying but nothing came off, confirmed it was correct not to retain him
DCE - the kick on 3rd tackle when we'd been starved of possession - why does he do this stuff?
Bullemor - I hoped to see a bit more impact from this bloke, he has the build but doesn't seem to rip in?
Turbo - has a tendency to mope around at times, not sure what effect his body language has on his teammates but sure makes me feel bad. If you play you judged on performance, i'm sure he's under massive pressure to take the field, hopefully he will improve

Need to turn it around next week vs smoked Eels, we need to flick a switch mentally, the players have plenty of ability but tonight was a shocker (all the 6 again calls killed us, they happen too quick for me to judge whether they are fair or dodgy, but I thought a couple were very dodgy)

Interesting fact though with Manly and Grant Atkins refereeing.

In our last 3 games under him we have lost 40–12 to Melbourne (2021 Qualifying Final), 40–22 to Souths a couple of weeks ago, and 38–0 to Brisbane tonight.

Again, just a coincidence that he was the ref. Like tonight we sucked in those other two games as well. Mostly anyway. We showed a lot more heart against Souths than we did tonight.

Thanks for the stats...50/50 doesn't seem so bad. It just seems so much hard work in the first halves under him. After half time he invariably puts the whistle away.

Sorry, but don’t agree re Pepsi. Bad rookie error allowing a strip returning a drop out when we had a chance to get back into the game. I’m forgiving and know he needs time but boy that killed us.
