There are many advantages in the Penn family virtually taking full control at Manly.

The bickering will end and star players will now want to re-sign.

I also hear it will mean the end of veteran Brookvale ground announcer Grant Goldman.

Goldman annoyed the crowd with his irritating and constant chatter and was known to struggle with the pronunciation of opposition players' names at times.

Yes back then I thought the same Jerry, since then my views have changed. He set me up that day, I had invited him many times and he'd refused , couldn't be bothered . He had an agenda that day, knew he was gone and trying to build support. Looking back I got suckered , and so did you!!

Are we all wondering why suddenly we are all smelling like roses rather than a septic system ??

A lot of that is to do with " the legend", being just that and not " the leak ".

In my opinion Goldman is " the voice " of Brookvale , so what if he can't pronounce a few islander names......he'd hardly be the first !!
