I would be really sad to lose wolfman. His 2 tries v knights were great, he's a crowd pleaser, full of passion, has talent and is a real fave with the kids. We shouldn't underestimate what these things bring to a club in terms of spirit, sponsors etc. His work last year with schools etc while injured went a long way. Hopefully his injuries are over and he has 5 or 6 big seasons left in him with manly. Robbo and jamie are 29 right? And trex has no future in the backline.

parra are confident they can lure players...... because..... sorry struggling here.
The only way they will get players is if they pay them truck loads of cash. Cannot think of one other good reason any decent player would want to go to parra.

Well you did get the no 1 reason. How often do you hear them say after leaving, I really didn't want to leave but I have to think about my family and the offer was too good to refuse.

I'm resigned to thinking that we will lose Davey no matter what. I'd rather that he goes to the Roosters than Parra, don't want to have to hate him.

Don't under estimate the respect Steve Kearney has built up the past 2-3 years as a factor for players to look at Parra

The cap will do its damage. What matters is that right now Wolfie, Hoppa and the rest are in the Manly squad for 2011. Let's make the most of 2011 before worrying about 2012. If we are to lose a player or two better if it comes after a grand final win.

My sentiments exactly. Glad there's one other Wolfie fan who thinks like me. I'd be devastated if we lost him for all those reasons outlined.

As I said in another thread, I'd prefer to lose Robbo (he's 28) and T-Rex than Wolfman. Robbo's much older and hasn't got as many playing years and speed left. T-Rex has rarely if ever played for us to his full potential.

If they go to parra, they get to play with chris "i only did it for the challenge" sandow. What a thrill that would be-NOT!!

That's a big call.

Id rather Wolfie go to a team who also has a chance of winning a premiership,Easts can do that once they ditch the coach, which as cutthroat bastards they always do,or Newwie with Bennett incoming

So you would rather have Wolfie (talented he is) over robbo who has played lord knows how many consecutive games...at a high level...is cheaper...less injured...

Yes, correct

Are you mad, Wolfie would free up more money than if we got rid of Robbo. Robbo has also played something like 136 games straight for Manly. As much as I love watching Wolfie he's only played a handful of games since 2008.

We could resort to a debate along the lines of "the player that I advocate retaining is vastly superior, in every way, to the player that you advocate retaining."

.. But seriously I see it is a tough decision either way, I like both of them. Wolf is a gamble, but I like a bit of excitement.

I would keep Robbo. Very under rated and has proven himself. I like Wolfie but who knows how fit he can stay. Plus Oldfield is coming along well. We are blessed with some good outside backs, pity we can't keep them all.

I like Wolfie as well, but you can't keep paying a crock. He's just so injury prone. I think we knew this when we signed him.

My mail (From a somewhat unreliable source within Parra) is that they will sign Wolf & Tony Williams.

I repeat, my mail from an extremely reliable source is that Hoppa will either sign with Manly or go for 2 years with the Church.

Ralphie u should change ur name 2 the mailman! Wel see if u deliver....

Again with the rumours. Unless anyone has actual proof can they please stop posting it on this forum!

You are aware that rumours are what the internet is based on? I reckon the whole thing could breakdown if you were only allowed to post fact.
