hooefully the penny dropped today with that barnstorming run that set Tom up

So frustrating seeing he and Lane be so big yet so ineffective, but maybe now Frank has done it once, it will awaken him to his size and power, it seemed to have an immediate effect because the 2nd half he took so many more carries.

Before that run of his I had he and Lane lined up for a huge spray, Lane still not out of the crosshairs, but keep that up Frank and I'll be more than happy

Frank does a lot of unnoticed things I think mate, especially defensively.

That said, you are 100% spot on. Physically, he has all the assets to be an offensive weapon.

Hopefully Trent Barrett unlocks that for him.

Sorry mate but he has been the same the whole year, it was just today we finally used him. Normally he just tackles and runs lines off the ball. Tom and co started using him today the way he should be used.

That typifies the point exactly, he has played the same the whole season, not running hard with the ball at all for his size.
When we are coming off our line, would rather he didn't wait for Tom and co to get him involved, he can call the ball himself and take a hit up straight and hard, which he showed today he can do

Yeah good point, we do need to use him more in attack and he can help by getting more involved.

Frank should be far more effective than he is, big mobile unit and all.

Lane has been strange, good attack and poor defence in reserves but the opposite in first grade, some of those hits today you could hear from the hill a good 50m away.

Frank has performed his role well all season long. People have knocked him for a lack of involvement, but I suspect its part of the coaching where the second rowers stay on their edge and the slack is picked up by the outside backs.

Good point you make there Turbo. Frank's work off the ball is first class. He runs really good lines and times them to perfection. You don't notice those things until the halves pass to him as the variation and he breaks the line like he did today and a few times earlier this year.
