Oh, and since there was actually no reason for Walker to be sin-binned in the first place, surely we’re even? Better than even, even? We were still down a player we shouldn’t have been for the better part of 10 minutes.

I would think the clubs would have a ball park time when the player should be back out and wait for the NRL official to give them the all clear to go onto the field? Sounds incredibly simple but obviously not...

Interesting Ponissi doesn’t want to take it further and supports the theory that it’s up to the NRL official.

Brandy went up in my estimation last night and I already held him in high regard. The NRL has completed its investigation.

It found that the Manly players each served approximately 8.5 minutes of their 10 minute penalties. A total of 17 minutes.

However, it also found there were no grounds to sin bin Walker in the first place.

Therefore, Manly served 7 minutes more than it should have. The NRL has apologised to the Manly club and advised Manly and Melbourne that Manly will be allowed to have an extra player on the field for the first 7 minutes of their next match to make up for the error.#
