Will Steve Matai be there Sat night

From what I've heard the Wolfman is about as big a fan of the club as Snake and Skivvy are!! A mate in the golden eagles said they approached him about it and while he would've like to hang out with the players he doesn't want to be seen dead at the club or at Brookie!!

Wolfy was at Brookie on Saturday. I had a chat to him. He said he would have a few beers with Matty Ballin after the game but Snake wouldn't be joining them.

I'm always reluctant to write a negative post. So I will try and twist this around. I was there on Saturday and saw the walk around. Snake was my favorite player. I loved watching Skivvy play. Matty was never in their league but a champion on and off the field. Skivvy did not show up, Snake only just. Matty loved being there and greeted everyone that wanted to greet him. I loved that and he may have more then the other 2 to be disappointed how he was treated.

Without knowledge it appears there is still issues with those 2 players and the Club. It was the fans that appeared to be snubbed.

Maybe this is not fair as I do not know the full details, it is just I felt snubbed by 2 but fully embraced by someone I admire.

To be fair he did get down on his knees and bow to the hill?

Also he did look like he was getting a hurry up

I took photos of Fans who wanted keepsakes on their phones.

Snake came out at 17:20 and quickly walked around the playing surface. He came over to the fence a couple of times to shake hands with a couple of mates. We actually thought that he wasn't comming as it was so close to kick off 🙁

Snake bowing to the Hillites was the highlight of his walk 😀

Matty came out soon after the NYC finished and walked around the fence. He was signing a million jerseys and taking photos with everyone who asked.

The photos I took with the Fans were all of Matty teary eyed - it was very emotional but ultimately a happy keepsake

Skivi's no show was sad
