I say Yes.
Seems to have the ability and is a genuine footy player, who uses instinct and not just robotic process in his game.
His mistakes were probably inflated by critics in 2017, as most rookies copping heavy scrutiny at times....as was his defence - yes there were missed tackles and some were blatent 1 on 1 misses, but keep in mind the pressure at NRL level in your 1st season after the middle has been rolled and try defending on your heels.
I recall a game against Newcastle where he dropped 2 passes cold in scoring opportunities, but throughout the season, seen this happen 100 odd times by various players, some elite by status.
Kelly has amazing feet in traffic and the ability to beat tackles with evasion, he is not a speedster in the open field, but can find the line and is good at both support play and setting up his support.
His involvement including rolling up the sleeves in ugly situations to get out of trouble, shows a willing player who can handle the tough stuff.
His attitude combined with that year of experience in 2017, gives confidence he could step it up in 2018 and be an X factor player in tight games.
