People were trying to be clever (there are a lot of attempts of that on this site but it is very rarely pulled off) and were being sarcastic (a lot of that on this site too). There's a few threads around about that phrase already is what they were getting at.

I've never heard it before, sounds like it could be sung in a chant or even put on a banner.

Stirring stuff.

The phrase comes from a football chant which originated with the supporters of Millwall Football Club, a South London soccer team, in the late seventies. The song was originally sung by the fans in response to the sustained criticism of their behaviour by the press and the image of many Millwall fans as hooligans.
Now I am certainly not suggesting that any of us are hooligans, but you can certainly draw parallels with the press and understand the seige mentality and how it galvanised the supporters.

Yeah Zaph, as stated before, we use the same chant as well and one of the regular travellers has a banner of the same wording.

What I find funny is that people were complaining about said sign because "it was going to stop us from getting sponsors". The truth of the matter is that we'll always be hated so, instead of complaining, we should embrace it as we always have and use it as a badge of honour, as should the sponsors.

Side note, I agree with the above posts. I haven't seen this much anger and unanimous support against us since 1997. Its a bit of a worry because we know what happened in 1997. That's why I'm a little worried about this game.

Totally agree with you Jono, we should embrace it as a badge of honour. In the face of this tidal wave of hate, it's such a great, simple retort that will get right under the skin of all those haters.

Re: the complainers, they don't seem to understand commercialism. If everyone hates us, then everyone must notice us. If everyone notices us then its great advertising coverage. And if we win premierships, even better!

i`m not even recording the game last time i recoreded a game we were down 14-0 1st half 2nd half i stopped we were 14-10 down after 48minutes had a try disallowed too would have prob won if it was allowed.. & that was against broncos round 26..
