Who Will Be Our Best Tonight Against The Tigers

Jake, Starling and Chez

DCE is in the top 3 highest paid players in the game. Accordingly, he should play like such. No idea how the pressure isn't on him. When the Cowboys were getting smashed in the forwards, Thurston still made them competitive.

This is his 6th year in 1st grade, so there are 0 excuses. He demanded the coin, he needs to repay that expectation.

Tommy Turbo. The forwards are going to lay the platform tonight and Turbojet is going to see a tonne of early good ball. He is going to overshadow Tedesco.

Thurston doesn't doninate every match like you make out, did you watch him this week against the eels? He was very quiet

Players are not robots, everyone has off days

Lets hope DCE has an "on" game soon. And more often than not, Thurston does dominate. His worst games aren't too removed from his best.

Games like last week for us, our 1 million dollar plus per season man was nowhere to be seen in the game, or in the criticism there after.

He needs to carry the weight of burden. Comes with his very high expectations for himself.

Also for the amount of money he demanded, and trouble it caused the club, sorry mate, he DOES need to be a robot. Nothing but domination is acceptable, and if we get more sub par performances by him, questions should be asked.

DCE will be best for us; he has stepped up in demanding the golden money so therefore should be the best player on the park.

The forwards have to rise so DCE can shine.

I disagree nicci. There are halves that can dominate the game without the forwards being world beaters.

Here's a list of forwards: Tim Glasby, Christian Welch, Dale Finucane, Jesse Bromwich, Jordan Mclean, Tohu Harris, Felise Kaufusi, Keneath Bromwich....that is their team list from round 2.

List those guys against our forwards.....yet their 7, 9 & 1 still get her done week in, week out.

Why blame Chez for Manly's **** up that resulted in his doubling of his contract fee ?:wondering:

Just like Trex was lucky enough to get 650k from the Dogs, the contract value is a reflection of the desperation of the recruiter and not the Player @

I never get the jealousy for someone being lucky enough to land a dream contract that we would all love to have 🙄

Just because Manly are playing him as a million dollar Player, does not mean that Chez ever had a million dollars' worth of talent. @

Manly should send the bill to Foran, whose dilly dallying hoodwinked Manly 😉

You get the big bucks, you have to expect the added pressure and expectation that comes along with that. Surely you agree with that don't you?

A CEO of a company gets paid lots of money to run the show. His employee that picks and packs doesn't have those expectations. Without the CEO performing in the boardroom, the company dies, and the picker packer loses his job.

This isn't a hard one to debate mate.

Disagree as a CEO has a track record that someone can value and thus remunerate.
A Sports person's ability, especially in a Team sport is subjectively analyzed and his market value is greatly influenced by the availability of others in his position - half back.

Chez was all but signed at 700k. So we can not say that he has to play like a million dollar half back, when the contract difference was due to Manly's requirement to keep one of he and Foran.
