Is Cade Cust joining the Warriors?

If Cade Cust is joining the Warriors, do we bring in another utility player that covers multiple positions? Connor Watson is off the table, but I think Connor Tracey is available, and perhaps Tyrone Peachey is worth a go on a two year contract. Peachey covers hooker, lock, half back, five-eight, centre and fullback. Either that or we look for a younger utility that can cover a similar number of positions.

I've read posts suggesting we need a back-up fullback.
What decent fullback is going to come to Manly knowing he'll be playing reserve grade unless something happens to Turbo?
You'll only get a no-name trying his luck. It would be more sensible to retain Tyfuna who we know is a back-up fullback/outside back. Plus we also have Koala and Tippytoes who are going to be better than a no-name recruit.

I think we could do with a backup winger/ fullback as it seems we do not have great depth for either looking into the future. Alex Johnston Esk type player who can play wing predominantly and fill in at fb admorabley when needed.... imo Garrick is a solid winger that is all

I agree about tyronne peachey, potentially could be the buy of the season in a strong team and given our attacking style would fit and enhance our play, would have to be a direct replacement for walker, cant see him in the 17 otherwise

There was talk Titans are offering him 200k. That would be a steal at that price!

If Croker and Walker go, then yes. If Croker leaves we need another 9.

If Walker leaves, replace him with Peachey...please, please.

Very hard this year with no Reggies. Normally we would be getting good looks at the up n comers.

I would expect to lose jetski, Suli, Boyle, Siro ( too expensive). Tafua to get a Reggies deal. Walker to accept a cheap deal ( nobody else wants him)
That's five that need to be replaced should have about 1.2 million so $250K per player.

Yep agree. We don't need a specialist fullback as such, what we need is a player that can make the grade as a winger or a centre or utility AND still make a good fist of fullback if Tommy gets injured. We don't have that kind of player at the moment. None of our outside backs or utilities can do anything other than a reasonable job. Garrick and Walker are just average, Funa nothing special, and Parker and Harper untried and unlikely

Penrith have Crichton and even Charlie Staines who played all his junior footy as a fullback I believe. Storm have Hynes. Roosters have Manu. Souths have AJ. Raiders have Rapana. They all lose very little when that shuffle happens. When we lose Tommy are attacking ability falls off a cliff. Parra are in a similar boat with Gutho.
