I think it depends if you're a supporter of a team in the match. Getting beaten by 16, say 36-20 still feels like a flogging but to the neutral probably still feels close.
As an aside one of my cousins has a bet every week on the televised ESL game. He has £5 at 40+ on the underdog and he reckons it comes up twice a year but the odds are so great that he wins a fair bit.
