What’s really killing our 2025 season?

Our season has been more impacted by our lack of go forward and ineptitude around the ruck. This has imo had a more profound impact!!! than anything DCE is or not doing. If we win the ruck DCE will still do his thing. This is what is really killing our season in combination with the narrative the media has been pushing ( DCE bombshell decision, etc etc. ) which is just about keeping punters focused on them!! despite what the real truth or reality is….

If we had go forward and were dominant in the ruck we would be winning games it is simple as that!

Sorry can’t agree with you.Yes,the team does to be more dominant up front,but the problems come back solely to the DCE situation and a coach that couldnt deal with it,it’s not just a media narrative.You only have to look at moments in the games to see certain players are off DCE

Every game this year before and after DCE’s decision when we won the ruck we have won the game. It is as simple as that. The sharks have beaten us twice this year exploiting this exact weakness. Many posters here have suggested we have one of the weakest if not the weakest pack in the comp….

Again…why can’t it be both? It’s not a great pack, but it doesn’t help when a key member of your spine is spineless. We had a couple of huge wins early in the season so there’s enough to put it together. Morale looks pretty low and thats on $CE. A better middle and a captain to follow, would both help our predicament.

Yes, Paseka’s injury also further exposed the weakness and imbalance in our pack.
Tom’s seemingly endless injury disruptions.
Now our Captain, play maker and most senior cap has a crack.
We go through rainbow gate, coaches, CEO’s, poor cap management, appalling recruitment, how about the years of BS around a DH, the list goes on, it’s not just one thing killing our 25 season, we’ve been spiralling for years, our once great club is in a mess, its no one thing killing our season, it an overall trend of ineptitude, systemic and repeated failures from the top down, it’s not a great feeling as a supporter, I look forward to the day we return to something that resembles the cliub I feel in love with as a kid.

Good point, but it has been a problem for years. We got smashed by the Roosters for this reason last year in the finals. This year is worse because of the loss of Paseka, our depth up front is paper thin, just look at our NSW cup team in comparison to others.

Good point but if we win the ruck we win well even allowing for the DCE situation this year. Look at our most recent win against Penrith.

Our pack was already one of the worst in the comp, take out the best middle forward in Paseka and Aloiai now having been out for over a month as well, it’s practically impossible for us to compete. Especially against teams with bigger and stronger packs like the Sharks.

The D$E situation certainly hasn’t helped either but for mine this is nothing new. Always takes a few games off before and after Origin to look after himself in his true selfish routine. In the lead up last year we lost 3 straight to the Raiders, Dolphins and Broncos, all teams who ended up missing the finals and were essentially playing with rookie halfbacks. Seems to have started this routine earlier this year because not only has he checked out but his age is catching up to him. Roosters are making a huge ****ing mistake IMO but I’m so glad it won’t be us (again)

Paseka, Aloiai, Lodge, Sipley not playing doesn’t help! People have bagged the $hit out of Aloiai yet it seems we’re missing him & Paseka big time!!! With those 2 in the 17 we do well……simples as Alexander says!
