With virtually a full squad & a taste of victory......I think we'll give it to the Dogs!!i think next week will tell us everything we need to know.... if we get over the dogs maybe we are on the up and up, but i have a feeling next week will resemble our eels/bunnies games more than it will last nights .. hopefully im wrong tho, i just dont see sustained success happening for this squad this season
i really hope so.... should have a pretty fair indication of which way were headed after the doggies game atleastWith virtually a full squad & a taste of victory......I think we'll give it to the Dogs!!
Not happy when they lose & now not happy when they win........hard to please some.
So do I mate lol............i can see us worrying quite a few teams if we get up next week. I hope they go out & just play the same game as last night!i really hope so.... should have a pretty fair indication of which way were headed after the doggies game atleast
The Cows were ordinary because of the way we played last night! You could say the same about Manly v Eels when we were up 6 zip & Kelly was about to streak away when he apparently lost the ball. We would have been up 12 nil & maybe the Eels would have fallen to bits. Give our defense credit for jolting the ball loose out of Thurston's hands! It's a game of tactics & chance. We pressured them & basically controlled the game last night & they had no answer. They had players out & we had players out. We outplayed them & caused them to look un-Cowboy like! I understand what you're saying & yes it's a start......hopefully a start of good things!Putting words into my mouth?
Who said I was not happy with the win. A great win. But look at the facts, the Cowboys ordinary and un-cowboy like.
Take the classic example where JT dropped the ball over the line about to score - That would have put the Cowgirls up by 12 points - huge turning point, as JT just does not do that. Do you think Manly would have been able to overcome 12 points against the Cowboys. 50 tackles inside Many's 20m and only one try ( great D for sure) - as I said Cowboys were ordinary.
Saying we are now top 4 is a little premature to say the least. One chain don't make no prison.
We have another hard match against our nemesis Des next week. This will be a truer test on where we are at, as a team.

Yeah, reminded me of our defence in 1973 too.i think the most pleasing part of tonights game for me was the desperation in defence shown by the whole team, it reminded me of our defence in 2008.
