Penrith are looking shaky. Cleary will do something silly and be fined/suspended over summer. Lots of pressure on Kikau / Api re contracts. May gone but popular with the boys so they'll be sooking. No Burton or Naden.

Don’t think Cleary will play round 1, if they are ever going to be fragile it’ll be in the first few rounds, as remember they’ve lost a few as well.

Got close to them last encounter , Manly should have a pretty similar squad and hopefully a bit more seasoned and improved . Panthers still very competitive no doubt but must be down on strength and depth a little bit . Also thought that one previous indication here mentioned Titans first up .

Yeah, we don't target Round 1, not sure why. But either way it will be good to get a form line from the reigning premiers. And they'll be without Cleary, Capewell, Burton, May, and Naden at least (maybe also Kikau and Api?)

A round 1 upset is well and truly on the cards, maybe a premiership winning hangover mentality could still be lingering in their heads....who knows !!

Panthers done well to get Thier grandfinal. But it doesn't look like they are going to have a dynasty.
Lost a tonne of players already and don't know if they will be as hungry as before.

Very tough start, not won up there in a decade and our recent record against them is appalling. We will need to be at our absolute best to challenge them up there. Good chance to lay down a marker to start the new season and for once be on the front foot!

We will win if we have our top 17 and in their preferred positions .Our top 17 in 2021 should not be the same as 2022 or we will not make the GF , but we will have to wait until Des reads out the team for the opener .We have got the players .
