MANLY will find out this afternoon if inspirational backrower Anthony Watmough will make a courageous return from recent knee surgery to play against the Melbourne Storm tomorrow night.
Watmough is booked in to see the Sea Eagles medical staff for a check-up later today to get the all clear.
The 25-year-old trained yesterday but failed to complete the session.
He rates himself only a "50/50" chance of lining up in the round 22 blockbuster at Brookvale Oval.
"It's still a bit sore," Watmough said.
"I was more confident (on Tuesday) than (yesterday).
"These are the games you want to play in but it's one of those things where you're not going to risk it.
"Whatever the doc says I will go with that."
Watmough hasn't played since the Sea Eagles 28-10 win over the Eels on July 18.
