Watmough a 50/50 chance of playing

7 August 2008

MANLY will find out this afternoon if inspirational backrower Anthony Watmough will make a courageous return from recent knee surgery to play against the Melbourne Storm tomorrow night.

Watmough is booked in to see the Sea Eagles medical staff for a check-up later today to get the all clear.

The 25-year-old trained yesterday but failed to complete the session.

He rates himself only a "50/50" chance of lining up in the round 22 blockbuster at Brookvale Oval.

"It's still a bit sore," Watmough said.

"I was more confident (on Tuesday) than (yesterday).

"These are the games you want to play in but it's one of those things where you're not going to risk it.

"Whatever the doc says I will go with that."

Watmough hasn't played since the Sea Eagles 28-10 win over the Eels on July 18.

He won't play the gutless grub his knee is sore probaly fell over belting up his grandma. After his weak game in the gf no wonder he is missing.I just can't wait

Jeesz mate.....your one of a kind.
I'd love you to go up to Choc, and say "your a gutless grub".
You'd take more hits than your favourite gay porn website.

Nah let him stay.

It is worth it just to see Ryan's response.

I'd never thought it acceptable to bash women.  Until I met you.

I was under the impression that Choc was a pretty good thing to be right for tomorrow night. Is this a bit of mind games.

MANLY second-rower Anthony Watmough wants to play in tonight's clash with Melbourne, although club officials are far less certain he will make a surprise return less than two weeks after knee surgery.

While Watmough started light training on Wednesday, medical staff are believed to be erring on the side of caution, meaning a return against Souths next week is more likely.

I would be surprised to see him play, two weeks after surgery.
