Anyone find it interesting that we'll end up having a very similar statistical season to last year?

What this proves, is this crap we are witnessing is the players, not the coaches.

Hasler, Monaghan, Tooves, Hayles, Randall, Cartwright, Flanagan, Dymock, Barrett, Siebold & many others have tried and failed to motivate these plonkers. That's all different types and flavours of coaches (we all had our favourites).

Look, I'm sure it'll be another "we tried okay" effort this coming week, but it's the same crap. We've won 32% of our games since jersey gate (28 games, which is longer than a season). We happy to be going to 20 something percent now?

Honestly, we are at a point the fans now lump and heap praise on the players loss after loss now (that's what I expect when I come on here after a loss). Depressing stuff really.

Jason King said to me before our resurgence that each player had to change their mindset and understand that losing wasn't acceptable to ANYONE anymore, and they held each other accountable. Another thing he said to me at that same meeting, is back then, they had a team of individuals playing together - but that had to change to they wanted to become a complete "team" playing together helping and supporting each other to succeed.

We need that mentality back. This current crop of unlikeable players are there for themselves only, it's obvious. It's not enjoyable or entertaining to watch. It's been a decade of willingness to accept mediocrity now.

For me, it's ship up, or ship out !

I've come across ditch for the game, and making a holiday around it, but don't have much hope of a win.

Started booking 6 months ago, but at least having a good holiday so far.

Don't let our rabble ruin your holiday, turn up not expecting much and anything else is a bonus! Enjoy the holiday mate, a bad day on holiday beats a good day at work!

Looking forward to this game, it's been a few years since we've been to NZ. We haven't lost to many games playing them in NZ over the years. We also have a big following in NZ and owe it to our legion of fans over there to put in a big game for them.

You keep quoting this stat Ryan as proof of how crap we are and how little improvement, if any, there’s been. And tbh I agree with that conclusion. But I think cherry picking your stats to begin at the start of a 7 game losing streak is misleading. Perhaps it would be more informative to use the entirety of last season and this season to derive a more accurate win percentage. I don’t know what that would result in but I reckon It would give a clearer indication of our progress or lack of.

It's not cherry picking when I've clearly said numerous times, those 28 games are post "jersey gate". That was a defining moment in our history, and we've been dog **** since (hence that exact time is perfect to call upon given we haven't recovered from it).

We are now at a precipice, that huge changes need to occur to disinfect us from that time. The changes that HAVE been made to date, statistically hasn't improved us.

Siebold (delusional and a dribbler)
Flanagan (mercenary and disruptive)
Dymock (unknown)
Fitness (regressed if that's at all possible)
Speed / Intensity (worse - we have three players in the bottom 15 play-the-ball speeds in the nrl)
Defensive line-speed - literally at a stand still
Condon, Tuilagi, Matterson, Johns, Woods, Arthur, Roache (this seasons acquisitions - TRASH)

etc etc etc.

It's not a lie, if you believe it.

The big issue we are facing is our attack is pretty mediocre and we are up against a well drilled meagre defensive team.

I'm not envisioning us getting within 16.

The only saving grace is it might piss down which is the great leveler.

We normally put in a good show against the Warriors bar the odd blow out.
Strangely confident so I guess it will be the blow out 🤦‍♂️

another before the weekend game, so it goes like this...

Okay,
Just a little pinprick
There'll be no more
But you may feel a little sick
Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working, good
That'll keep you going through the show
Come on, it's time to go
