WARRIORS owner Eric Watson has personally guaranteed Andrew McFadden will not be sacked as coach of the under-performing Kiwi outfit this season.

Watson told Kiwi radio station TAB Trackside that McFadden would stay at the helm for the entire 2016 season.

McFadden has been the subject of intense speculation in the wake of the Warriors’ 10-match losing run that stretches way back to last July.

But in an interview this morning, Watson promised McFadden would not be sacked mid-season.

“He’s not going anywhere,” Watson said.

“He’s got the capability and ability to be a great coach.

“It’s early days in his career. We’ve invested a lot into the coaching team … into Andrew … he’s got a good team around him.”

It is believed the Warriors need to make the finals for McFadden to keep his job for 2017, however.

The Warriors were awful in losing to the Tigers in round one but put up a better showing in round two with an injury-ravaged team against the Broncos.

After two away games, they finally return home to meet the Storm in a vital clash this Sunday.

“It will be good to be back home and yes, it is a massive game for us,” McFadden says.
