A caveat to that comment, is that if the person is a repeat offender and again accused of the same or similar offence, then the issue of community safety comes into play. In that case the need for certain constraints is appropriate.

Yes, but a repeat offender would probably not get bail. Again, this has to be a decision made by a judge, not the NRL.
As you say, and many on here have been saying, we must let our legal system do its job. Nobody should pre-judge an accused. All the evidence must be tested in court.

I think my comment 'constraints' would include refusal of bail if required.
