its a vaxectomy not a vasectomy sillyI think it is very harsh to force him to get a vasectomy.
Its like Berlin in 1939... all we need is the goose stepping down george st and a maniac with a dirty Sanchez and we are there!Yeah I've been holding out, I didn't wanna get it but basically forced to now if you wanna have any kind of normal life. I'll be double vaxxed just before the 17th.
I know a lot of tradies and other work places that aren't mandating it but like you said other than doing groceries, some work places and a walk down the park, there is not much more you'll be able to do.
Some people just dont want that crap in their bodies. I didn't want to get it but I did and i got quite sick from it. Cold shakes arm was killing me my muscles started hurting and i had this head ache for days and days. I dont get the flu shot and i never get the flu but people who get the shot get the flu 🤷♂️Eventually almost everyone will get it , the only hold outs will be the absolute rabid anti vaxxers.
Funny but as a kid we lined up for all the jabs , everyone did , no one complained.
Polio was eradicated , amongst other things.
Today it’s all about “ you can’t tell me what to do “
The perspective is that covid vaccinations have different effects on different age groups. All the elderly folk I've spoken to at my mother's aged care had no side effects or issues after receiving the Astra-Zeneca vaccine. However, 9 younger people (all women) in Australia have died as a result of this vaccine.86 years of age Georgias Perspective ....
My 86 year old neighbour Georgia has been vaccinated and she is a keen St George Supporter who never misses a game on tv .
Georgia laughs and says to me.... Son , this new generation of footballers who are afraid of the needle are pussycats . They are better off staying at home if they are going to carry on like that
This article is great, and may be a comfort to the hesitant people out there. The risk of getting vaccinated is low to nothing. And far outweighed by the benefits.
You are 200 times more likely to die from taking an aspirin than from getting an A-Z jab!!
Getting a COVID jab is safer than taking aspirin

we are not sure what the contract negotiation situation is - if the jab is playing a part - does he want more money - is he being shopped to other clubs by his Manager? All speculation but IF....IF he is being shopped around then that to me is a disgrace after what the club and Des has done for him. A total disgrace. buuut just maybe the lack of an offers or him signing elsewhere at least suggests there is something at play... either the lack of the jab is really affecting him or Manly have a deal in principle and are waiting for him to get the jab. But I do think his lack of jab is harming him greatly. After how the club has looked after him you would think he would be anxious to repay their kindness, he can go as far as I'm concerned if he's not keen on what's being offered, we've got plenty of other options

The irony is all those people that are very concerned about the short and long term effects of the world health authorities endorsed covid vacs that save lives is that they are not concerned about the short and long term effects of drinking alcohol , smoking , recreational drug taking , unhealthy eating , lack of exercisingThe perspective is that covid vaccinations have different effects on different age groups. Before authorities realized the dangers of A-Z for younger people, an 18 year old trainee nurse close to my family (sister's grandson's girlfriend) was obligated to receive it for her vocation. Consequently, she was hospitalized with blood clots. She is on a course of steroids & has recovered sufficiently to resume her traineeship.
Due to this incident & other negative vaccine results reported in the media, my sister became very mistrustful & fearful of covid vaccines. She is not an anti vaxer. Last month, our mother's Gold Coast aged care gave an ultimatum that entry would be barred after 31 October for visitors who are not double vaccinated. My sister was extremely upset by this - worried sick, in fact. Eventually, after a stressful week, she decided to vaccinate in order to be able continue seeing her mother. None of her family tried to persuade or cajole her about this - she made her own decision in her own time.
My point in writing this is that there are some people who are very concerned about the short or long term effects of covid vaccination. This is something that is quite real for them. If a family member or a friend had these concerns, it is unlikely we will call them names or try to bully them into making a decision. It the same for high profile footballers - they are people (believe it or not) and they are trying to work through something in order to make the best decision for themselves and their families. With their well paid careers at stake, they are under a lot of pressure. I doubt their team mates, coaching staff or employers are trying to force them to make a decision. Yet, anonymous internet users feel justified to criticize & rebuke with no knowledge of the inner workings of those persons.
Rightly or wrongly, sometimes people feel they need to take a stand for their convictions. Back in the day, I would have chosen to be a conscientious objector & face possible imprisonment rather than be conscripted into the army to fight in a senseless war in Vietnam (non harming is my way of life). Fortunately, my number didn't come up, and even more fortunately, a change of government brought conscription & Australia's involvement in Vietnam to an end.
I suspect the delay is due to the NRL refusing to make vaccination mandatory amongst their employees (knowing full well pressure will be exerted upon them by external factors such as state laws, airline rules, etc) & not clearly stating what each club's legal & contractual rights & responsibilities are in regards to unvaccinated players who will only be able to play what - 8 or 9 games a season?we are not sure what the contract negotiation situation is - if the jab is playing a part - does he want more money - is he being shopped to other clubs by his Manager? It is not & it is pure ridiculous whenever anyone starts making such comparisons. Its like Berlin in 1939...
The Government offering a free vaccination against a virus in order to keep hospitals from becoming overwhelmed is nothing like Nazi Germany and I agree, it's horribly irresponsible to suggest so.It is not & it is pure ridiculous whenever anyone starts making such comparisons.
It's also hugely offensive to people who were affected by Nazi Germany.
I'm sick of hearing how its "like the Nazis" & "a new apartheid" - if the people dreaming up these comparisons spent the same effort educating themselves on the benefits of the vaccination instead of trying to incite emotional response they'd probably understand it's not a conspiracy theory or whatever they believe it is.The Government offering a free vaccination against a virus in order to keep hospitals from becoming overwhelmed is nothing like Nazi Germany and I agree, it's horribly irresponsible to suggest so.
I'm fine with people not wanting the vaccine but I don't think they should be drawing comparisons to mass murder in order to defend themselves.
Yeah way off the mark. It's counter-productive to draw these comparisons anyway because any credibility to their initial opinion/argument is lost when they trot out these types of hyperboles.its "like the Nazis" & "a new apartheid" -
So, by your own account - all the people who are vaccine hesitant are binge drinking, drug using, smokers who eat take out while lying on the couch. Would you kindly provide evidence that supports this claim? The irony is all those people that are very concerned about the short and long term effects of the world health authorities endorsed covid vacs that save lives is that they are not concerned about the short and long term effects of drinking alcohol , smoking , recreational drug taking , unhealthy eating , lack of exercising
Every choice come with consequences including the ones that take a stand for their conviction against the vaccine
