Fancy having Corey Waddell as your backup for Haumole and BenT. That is the biggest recruitment miss I can remember. How haven't we recruited any backrowers?

Tried explaining earlier
Was uninspired by his return signing
But.....after a very good game I attended in 2024 at Brookie where Manly beat Penrith.....his performance "that day" was a Very pleasant suprise
I rate him a backup at best personally, but do see him as a scapegoat in relation to a horrible performance, where Hoppa and Simpkin were the only blokes who went half decent.
The halves were shocking and played sideways every time and forwards including Waddell were 2nd rate

We were forced a couple of times last season to use him in the middle of the field, and I actually thought he made a pretty decent fist of things and was handy in that role. How the hell we are now back to a point where we are starting him on an edge I don’t know

Plenty love to hate on our duck.

But after a couple of weeks now. He's doing a fair job.

Much better fit on the right edge then the left.

His combo with DCE has just looked insic and in all honesty a better fit than Guac. Don't get me wrong Guacs our most destructive forward, but does he really work with turtle? How often does turtle gives him a hospital passes, or he gets if from a standing start, both DCE and guac are running into the same hole as each other, or its way too sideways.

We've seen none of those issues Guacs had with Duck. He actually compliments turtle even that generally nothing ball turning it back inside, ducks been looking more dangerous.

When Guacs back id be put him on the other side and drop burbo and see how he and Brooks play together myself.

Not because ducks a better back rower, but I suspect Brooks and Guac.might just compliment each other better.
