Yeah, not his best game. But I put the blame for his drop on the pass from dummy half. Cherry (at least I think it was Cherry) fired the ball at his head, across and over Paseka's shoulders. He wouldn't have seen it till the very last second.

I always wish we had a little more variety with our passes from dummy half, instead of simply hitting the first man to the left or right of the ruck, but that wasn't the time for it.
Exactly, a simple straight forward pass to Paseka was the play, not a cut out bullet to Wadell's head in our 20.

It looked to me that the pass was meant for Brooks and Waddell didn't know or stuffed up and got in the way, no way was it meant for him.
Agree, not his best game but he's been asked to play 80 mins the past two weeks and it caught up with him.

For all the blow ups over the last few days, surprisingly little comment on Waddell.

8 missed tackles and 2 errors.

A key one of each leading to 2 tries.

He has mostly been okay but boy it was a shocker. Hope Burbo is back this week.
He was poor against the Raiders, he has played well up until that game.

There is a reason he is on minimum dollars for a player of his age and experience, for me he isn’t a week in week out 80 minute player, does a job off the bench for 20 minutes.

The club hasn’t made any visible movements in the player market with four positions to fill in the 30, Mestrov said they were looking for a backrower, hopefully it’s imminent..

Some good & some bad this year so far from Waddell, but what a brave effort to come back out in the 2nd half today busted. Could barely run but showed Huge effort + heart to get back out there to give Brown a much needed spell in a critical time of the game. I think he’s earned a lot of respect from fans today.

Said it in another thread, but his effort was magnificent today. Hobbling about on one leg, taking hit-ups, tackling himself to a standstill. Yeah, he's not the most talented bloke in the squad, but effort like that will keep him in the top grade.

He got a point from me in our MVP.

He clearly shouldn't have been out there and in other circumstances wouldn't have been.

I think too many people will gloss over just how valuable this bloke coming on and playing busted was today. Never got found out in defense. Was just one hell of a effort.

The guy is on small coin and is great value for money.

He isn't meant to be in our best 17 but that doesn't stop the numptys on here jumping on him the minute he does something wrong.

Glad to have him as depth.

Cory waddell may lack a few things but never lacks effort or energy. His 1st spell with manly and his time with the dogs was built on the now popular 1 per centers, I'd love everyone to have his work ethic. Let's hope it's contagious

Waddell has been given a 3 year extension. Maybe a 2 year was OK, but 3?
I really hope we are not paying him big bucks to join our dads army forward pack.
A gutsy type of player rather than a classy one, but that is a pretty good trait for a forward.
Signing when he's not even in our top 17 means it would have been a low cost deal.
He's gone quite well when we have needed him as depth and his next few years should be his best. Smart signing.

Good clubman too, hence why I think they resigned him for while. He's been in quite a lot of marketing. Close with Garrick and Trbos as well from what I can tell.

Waddell is just an NRL standard depth forward. Every club needs players like this who will generally sit out of the top 17, but will take their opportunities in first grade when injury and suspensions strike. He won't let us down, and wouldn't have cost us much over three years either. Smart call.

Yeah I like this signing. It’d be different if he was our starting edge forward or middle forward but he is clearly seen as depth and good depth at that. No nonsense, good character, hard trainer and will play injured to support his club and teammates. Also, three years means if he suddenly finds great form like Lawton, we won’t have to farewell him to another club that swoops.
