The only thing that worries me about Baz is the lack of aggro. He certainly has a good football brain and he certainly knows how to get team spirit happening but the players seem a little too "nice" on the field. I would love to see some fire come back into the fold.

I hate Brad Arthur with an absolute passion but geez he is a hard bastard. The way he demands perfection from his playing group and the manner in which his forwards go about bashing the opposition, reminds me of the Hasler era at Manly.

I've liked what Barrett has done , he's warmed into the role , another year or two and we are GF bound, he deserves to see it through.

Not buying into any of these rumours. All the players love Barrett especially senior players like dce and jake said he wanted to be coached by Barret for the rest of his career. He has brought the side together and into the 8 with an average roster. Would seem very weird we let him go unless there was a fall out with bozo. Next 2 years with a few good buys and we will be humming along.

To start next season with yet another coach would be a huge step backwards!

Watch the 2013 semi against roosters when brad was assistant coach and forwards coach. The defence was aggressive and a brick wall. A lot of players said that had a lot to do with Arthur.

The club is just waiting to see if Barrett makes the finals in my opinion. Once this is confirmed they'll announce he is extended. If he doesn't they'll make him sweat a little longer.

Our issues started allot longer than 6 weeks ago and were due to a lack of depth. Reading the play is 9 times out of 10 wrong and just click bait.

Baz will stay. The club just wants him doing everything in his power to make the finals. Wasn't that what Scott Penn said at the start of the season?

The Talkin Sport people asked him if he'd signed an extension and he said he was just concentrating on coaching atm.
Which brings me to a pet peeve - when did Rugby League become a game where someone who is contracted for the next year is suddenly ripe for rumour about their future? It used to just be those out of contract at the end of the current year who were the subject of speculation.
I guess it's just that world now where a contract isn't worth the paper it's written on.

Yes - Baz is part of the form slump as he hasn't made any positional/personnel changes to stimulate the slumpers

The constant reports of bonding and motivational talks, is not translating to teamwork out on the field 🙁

Parra's speed at reforming their defensive lines, standing deep in attack to give options to the ball carrier, running at full speed with the ball in and or kicking cross field to unmarked backs - Manly did all these and then they stopped after the Drags flogging 😕

Baz is the only one who can send out the message during the game to fix the issues and remove any player who is not listening. Apparently they all train the house down, so the commitment and effort hasn't changed

I would also like to add that Barrett has also been heavily disadvantage with quality depth in the club due to the salary cap saga with Snake and Matai as well as having players like Brown and Kelly in his squad . I believe when a club does not have the quality depth to make changes to players that don't perform at NRL standards complacency creeps into the team .

This is no excuse . This is a fact .
The roster is as good as it performs consistently and the team is where it deserves to be struggling for spot in the top 8 .
The old and true saying...
There are no grand final winners in the top 3 out side of September !!!
