Dessie's back, back again. The five time grand final coach continues to overcome adversity and terrible officiating bias. Meanwhile, back at the ranch - Trent Barrett can't even get himself a gig as Ivan's sidekick.

Clubs would be reluctant to even hire him as an assistant coach going forward. His record as a loyal employee and man of his word is not great.
Penrith gave him the assistant gig twice and both times he was offered a head coach job somewhere else he promised the panthers both privately and he also publicly stated he wouldn’t sign any of their players.
Both times history will show he did the exact opposite and did everything he could to take Penrith players to his new club.
The fact he even asked Ivan for the gig back for the third time suggests he has no emotional intelligence whatsoever which correlates with the garbage coaching he produced at dogs and manly when he was a head coach.

It's amazing how the dogs players are pretty well united stating that the coaching from Potter is so much more enjoyable with less structure, more accountability which has the dogs better in defence and attack than under Barrett.
He will never coach again.
